1. Kerry, but strangely enough ...
For EXACTLY the same reason he rates highest on "electability" and EXACTLY the same reason he has generated hostility on this forum (after he wasn't generatin' NUTTIN' on this board).

He's seasoned pro. A compromiser. An inside man. A play-yuh.

Now, we can all indulge our fantasies for a youthful idealistic principled candidate or President when the country's muddling along, not excellent, maybe, but not too bad, either! Fun, eh?

BUT THAT TIME AIN'T FUCKING NOW.

We need a guy who knows two things:

War

and

The System

None of the Dem candidates know war except Clark and Kerry. None of them know the system except Edwards and Kerry. Bush, needless to say, doesn't know shit.

Therfefore, Kerry would do the best job because he has the most comprehensive basket of neccessary skills.

2. Kerry, then maybe Clark
Just because they really have a graps on what to do in HIGH level government.

Kerry definetly has the experience domestic and foreign. He knows the lingo, knows how things work, and has seen what to do for over 15 years.

Reasons why he has high electability are why he'd do the "best job". Love many of Kucinish's ideas but I'd fear he just would be overwhelmed by the intensity of presidency (DK and all others).

Kerry.
