CNN 'Reliable Sources' trashes Bill Clinton.
Moderator Howard Kurtz says Clinton "flew off the handle".
(No, he just totally NAILED Wallace and Faux.)

Arianna Huffington says he should have known he was fair game.
(Like he didn't.)

Bloomberg News guy stands by Chris Wallace as legitimate journalist.
"Enery right and obligation to ask those questions."
(Um... that's not the point.)

??? (right-winger) says Richard Clarke's book (Against All Enemies) that Clinton refers to actually condemns Clinton admin on anti-terror, bin Laden.
(Not true. Mainly condemns repug congress during Clinton for 'wag-the-dog' accusations and refusal to fund Clinton programs.)

After the break Kurtz takes gratuitous potshots at MSNBC and Faux.
Why? Ratings at CNN slumping?

2. CNN is worrisome lately,...
---- Too bad that the "Lou Dobbs" philosophy isn't more reflective of the overall network. The last couple of days, CNN broadcasts appear to be supporting Bush's torture initiatives,... and that really bothers me.

In other words, you've just been introduced to the wonder that is CNN in the last couple of days? How'd you avoid its right-wing cowardice for so long?

3. He agreed to the interview to talk about his.....
Global Initiative, why would Clinton refer to Clarke's book if it condemned him and lastly, if Chris Wallace is a legitimate journalist we are in bigger trouble than I thought.

7. The show is ending right now.
I'll see if I can identify the unknown person. I missed the talk about Clinton. I didn't realize this show was still around.

5. One important addendum about Huffington
She concluded that she wanted to see more of the "feisty" Bill Clinton that was on Fox than the Clinton who defrended Bush's handling of Katrina.

She said that In this interview Clinton made clear that there are two fundamentally different approaches to national security, and Clinton and otehr Democrats need to be more aggressive in making their case.

8. Wallace should have asked this, "Do you regret having a
Congress that fought you at every turn and allowed a shithead prosecuter to drag you down over a personal matter"?

Wallace showed himself for the tool he is.

Furthermore, Clinton should have stated that he regretted inheriting a f*cked up Republican foreign policy legacy that brought him the first Trade Center bombing just a few months into his first term. We can thank Poppy for not doing more on that front.

9. Did you see John Aravosis (Am. Blog) on at the end. He was GREAT!
Got in points about that Clinton was attacked by Wallace over the "Looming Tower" book at the beginning of the interview and folks need to know that Clinton just had an ABC Docudrama trashing his handling of 9/11. He said that while Howie can't admit that Fox News is the Organ for the Republican Party the "viewers out there know what Fox news is."

He made point after point making the San Francisco Chronical Person who was trying to trash Clinton look very week.

It was Excellent. Good on Aravosis for being an excellent Dem Spokesperson. Let's ditch Brazille and get John out there more.

10. why the double standard?
Why is it OK for "Journalists" (haha) to attack? From rush to billy to any of these RW mouthpieces? Now Chris, (his own father is not happy with the way he conducts himself) is acting all upset? What do they expect! I hope more Dems stand up and NOT take it. John from Americablog nailed it when talking to the CNN wimp. Wallace set himself up with that nasty beginning, and Clinton ran with it.

Shame on Wallace and the whole weaselly bunch! The tough questions need to asked of this administration. and all some are worried about is snow's clothes!

oh and did anyone see Kyra Phillips and the F14 retirement. "This is the Jet that helped rid Afghanistan of the Taliban". Oh really?

11. And 'attack' is such a loaded word.
Seems like Dems are always 'attacking' repugs about something.
At least according to Faux, CNN, and the like.
Not 'disagreeing with'.
Not 'stating'.
Not 'rebutting'.
Always 'attacking'.

Wow, Dems are a bunch of rabid 'attack dogs'.
:-(

13. On the Other Hand:
republicans:

defend their positions
set the record straight
clarify their position

CNN is much more dangerous than faux because people actually think that CNN leans left. Nothing can be further from the truth. I've had Democrats that I work with locally, tell me that Wolf is a liberal.

I wonder if any of these steely-eyed "journalists" would like to go one-on-one with Clinton in an interview and get their tiny little pin heads handed to them like Wallace did?

18. ???(right-winger) is David Frum, Bush's former speech writer who was
fired for leaking the fact that the "axis of evil" phrase was his. Frum's dippy right-wing wife Danielle Crittendon sent emails to her friends bragging about her husband's great contribution of this phrase to the speech! Did you notice how the sneering little shit Frum kept saying Clinton was referring to Clarke's book because he knew nobody would or had read it?

22. I know Frum because he is Canadian born and still comes up here spewing
his pro-Bush propaganda. His late mother, Barbara Frum was a respected journalist and anchor woman on the CBC. I think she would spin in her grave if she knew what a pathetic little right-wing shit he has become. I get the impression he is working hard to get back in Bush's good graces and never misses an opportunity to go on TV and promote Bush.
