Bill Nelson for VP?
I think he's a lot more telegenic than Graham. He's a former astronaut and a good solid moderate from a very important swing state in Florida.

Big problem is Bush gets to appoint a republican to his seat if we lose. If he brings us Florida though, 1 senate seat may be worth it. We're not going to win the senate back no matter what we do.

4. He's not a former astronaut
He's a Senator who went for a ride.

Although I respect my fine Senator in many ways, he's one of the few Dems who won't fillibuster Bush's extremist judicial nominations. Other than that he's a fine moderate Senator, and he should keep our seat warm for us.

5. I can think of several worse candidates.
But almost none are Democrats.

6. We may already lose Graham's seat...
..since he's not running for re-election, so we could end up losing both. Risky...
