2. That's not what Kerry's family members say.

All NE Forbes are related to each other, obviously some distantly. I don't know how closely Kerry's mother and Malcolm Forbes are related, but they are related. I don't know if Malcolm Forbes got his money from the same sources that Kerry's mother got her islands, but they're not that far apart.

That first hostile website, despite its slant, can't help but list a SLEW of personal accomplishments and excellings. Its dominant feature is that his roots with all things KENNEDY run deep. So if his anti-Vietnam activities are supposed to be detrimental, I don't think so, not around DU, or when there is any mention of the later Bobby KENNEDY. Feel free to UN-brace.

It traces him back to a Scotsman named John Forbes (1740-83).

And here's one for Malcolm Forbes:

It goes back only as far as his grandparents, who were married in Scotland in 1871. So it really doesn't look like there's any connection.
