WHY is * supporting Pakistan?
There has never been a question on WHERE OBL is. WHY is * allowing Musharoof to protect him and risk the American outrage?

1. I don't understand the lack of outrage.
Why Blivet supports Pakistan? OBL is a paid NeoCon agent provocateur.

2. Well so was Saddam
and Musharoff. Our foreign policy is such that it's 'what have you done for me lately?' Unless is is not * as much as it is CIA. I read the link B/T Cheney and AQ Khan and his nuclear walmart through Halliburtin.....That was the REAL reason that they outed Valerie.

3. She was getting too close, for sure.
Yes, Saddam was useful to us as long as he fought Iran. As soon as he made noise about selling oil in Euros instead of Dollars, the whole deal changed. OBL could potentially rat out the whole scheme. I assume he's already dead. They won't say so because he's our bogeyman.

7. That's the other option.
Either way, he's now virtually off limits.

6. Yes, Pakistan is a REAL threat
if they assassinate Musharoff. THAT is what keeps me up at night, not Iran.

8. I agree.
Pakistan is being illustrated as this wonderful partner for our War on Terra, but in reality, Musharaf is doing everything he can, including this amnesty agreement, in order to keep the fundementalists from rising up and removing him.

Pakistan is BY FAR the most dangerous country in the middle east.

9. Good point.
Musharaf is thought of as vunerable, so now he's giving in to his base to secure his position.
I thought it interesting that Bush (when running for president the first time) was asked if he knew the leaders of nations mentioned by the reporter.
Bush couldn't answer many of these, but knew about Musharaf and...

http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1999/11/05/bush.popquiz/

Bush, in answering the question about the leader of Pakistan, also said: "The new Pakistani general, he's just been elected -- not elected, this guy took over office. It appears this guy is going to bring stability to the country and I think that's good news for the subcontinent."

I always wondered why he thought this and knew about Pakistan's internal situation when he obviously was clueless about most other countries.

Was an idea in place?:tinfoilhat:

10. Glad to see someone besides me recognizes how dangerous Pakistan
is. One bullet to Musharraf's head and the Pakistani nukes
fall into the hands of the majority Pakistani's who are islamists
and jihadists. I only hope our miltary knows where the nukes are.

13. Exactly.
Bushco used Pakistani (and Saudi) double-agents and patsies to provide their new Pearl Harbor. That's why both these countries have been rewarded by Bushco after 9/11.

the devil you know...
Musharraf really cracks down on AlQaeda & the Kashmiri militants, the ISI kills him quick. They LOVE the Taliban et al.

This is where our war should have been.

Now we've got to sit on our fat asses & watch from satellites to launch cruise missiles to get OBL & Omar.

15. There's a subtle irony here
in implications that Pakistan is dangerous.

The notion of religious extremists in charge of a country with nukes. Gosh, why does that seem familiar?

Who is scared of whom? Who should trust whom? Who should lay down their nukes?

Personally, I'd like to see an end to the nuke era altogether, just pointing out the irony, which is probably obvious to everyone.
