Nope, couldn't be rigged voting machines. Pollsters were just wrong. Polls can't be trusted!

1. She will NOT win
Seriously. I'd bet my house on that. It is not going to happen.

2. Please don't bet your house
Republicans know no end to corruption and voter fraud and I'd hate to see you homeless

3. I'll go ahead and bet my life...
if Harris wins, I will kill myself. And I'm not at all depressed or suicidal. That's how confident I am of a Nelson win.

Where would we put the dogs when we move under the bridge? :P

Just kidding. It would need to be close for her to steal it. The can't just steal it outright.

4. Nelson is still doing well in the polls
But NO Democratic votes recorded in 4 counties, one of them heavily Democratic, should raise a lot of bright red flags all over the place.

The DNC/DLC/Congress will likely remain somnolent.

6. Quick point -- that no votes recorded thing is inaccurate...
vote totals have not been posted for Broward and Palm Beach counties at the Florida Sec. of State Web site because official tallies have not been concluded. Unofficial counts, though, are already posted at the site under the election results pages.

Promoting these sort of conspiracy theories when they have zero merit amounts to crying wolf, so that when a legitimate conspiracy occurs, people are less likely to listen.

5. I don't think she will
be able to win this one. She isn't liked at all by the party, they didn't even want her to run. They have to keep some pretense of democracy and she will be their sacrifical lamb. And is Nelson really that bad for them?

7. Don't you people understand?
It DOESN'T MATTER whether she is liked by FL cockroaches. THEY intend to keep control of Congress, NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES. THEY may not be able to cheat enough all over the country to pull that off, but if one thing under this sun is certain, it's that FL is Repuke Machine Central.

9. No, I think you don't understand...
Harris is down by more than 20 points in every poll... as many as 40 in a few. If they're going to steal elections, they're going to do it where it's reasonably close, so that uncomfortable questions cannot be raised.

As for Florida being "Repuke Machine Central," I find even that misleading, as Florida is one of the most purplish of all the red states.

End of story.

It's that simple. I'm from Florida. I know.

On edit: IF they vote at all in November, which they won't. Most republican voters in Fla are the type who only vote in presidential elections.

8. Nelson has a 2% voting record...worse than Leiberman!
He has voted with the dems 2% of the time...which means 98% of the time...he is with Bush. Nelson is a procholce pro environmental Republican. They don't really give a shit about abortion...so they let him have that to keep him in there..always threatening women with aborition. The rest of the time..Nelson votes with the repubs..he is one of them. they gifted him with candiate Harris to insure a win. They don't want any other dem or repub in there...they have him!

10. Where'd you get that figure?
Edited on Wed Sep-06-06 03:28 PM by SteppingRazor
Because I can think of several instances off the top of my head -- the Alito confirmation and the Schiavo incident spring immediately to mind -- wherein Nelson was most certainly on our side. Mind you, I'm no huge Nelson fan, but I find it hard to believe that he broke party ranks 98 percent of the time while in Congress -- in fact, I find it impossible to believe.

11. being sarcastic...but Lieberman's is better...
Leiberman is at 50% while Nelso is 63% not with us...a failing grade...

look here:
8 other partial Dems and the lone Independent now have failing scores of 63% (7 approved votes):

Biden (D-DE) Cantwell (D-WA) (no) Dodd (D-CT) Dorgan (D-ND) (no) Mikulski (D-MD) (no) Murray (D-WA) (no) Nelson (D-FL) Obama (D-IL)

13. That Web site seems to be from last year, and then only the first...
20 or so votes in Congress.

if you'll check ontheissues.org's Bill Nelson page -- http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Bill_Nelson.htm -- I think you'll have to agree that, while far from perfect (ahem, admittedly VERY far from perfect), Nelson sides with the Democrats against GOP greedheads a lot more often than most people give him credit for.

12. If it's close and there's a recount,
Hastert could always swear her in in the middle of the night and say "Too late, she's already sworn in!"

Precedence, you know ...
