MoveOn's ads responsible for Bush's plummeting approval?
I just love that MoveOn "KIDS working" ad that they are showing over and over on CNN. Anyone else think that it is having a powerful effect? I do.

1. Can't hurt.
People are beginning to realize it is election season. I guess most don't follow it like we do and they are getting all this new Bush* info and it isn't pretty. The ad plus the fact that people do not like to be lied to are going to take a toll on him.

2. responsible would be pushing it
but could well be a factor. I've seen it on CNN quite a few times. I hope moveon starts saturating large markets with it closer to the GE

bushin30seconds produced some other ones that were quite good too. I think some of those might get some play also.

4. I think the fact that CNN allows it to air is indicative of how serious
the situation is for illegal resident. Dunno whether it's the chicken or egg though.

5. I hope so...
I also hope that they start putting 2 or 3 of the "runners-up" into rotation.

My favorite is the "In My Country" one. Bone chilling.

6. I do
I see it every morning and recognize the music immediately; very effective. My kids are drawn in too - they feel sorry for those in the commercial.

7. On Can Only Hope
that moveon and all the other fantastic issue empowerment campaigns are finally reaching the American masses. The truth might just set us free....

8. I've been screaming this from the mountaintops for a long time..
we NEED an unorthodox advertising style for this election. It grabs voters' attentions.

I'm tired of commercials where there's a sinister-sounding narration while a grainy, slow-motion black-and-white video of the opposing candidate (with slow piano music bleakly droning in the background). So cookie-cutter!!

Why not do a few commercials that show the ugly truth? That's what the MoveOn ad does, and it works powerfully on viewers' emotions.

And why not do a few unique commercials that entice the viewer into laughing at Bush? When you get someone to laugh with you, they'll get more comfortable, and they'll be more likely to allow themselves to agree with you. Most humor is based on truth anyway.

More on topic.. I suspect that this great commercial is a factor. Proving causation though is nearly impossible. I do hope this is an indicator of things to come.
