First, I am no great fan of Hillary, but I am a fan of honesty
Lately one of the W talking points being used against her is "No health insurance". If I remember correctly, she tried valiantly to get it for us. Anyone else hearing this? any quick easy smackdowns?

1. Newt and the other reptiles did everything they could to keep
Hillary from making any progress on health care after the "Contract ON America" in 1994.

2. As I recall
their case against Hillary's plan was 1) It's too complicated and costly (as compared to say, the existing health care system??) and then 2) she was a spawn of satan and 3)a woman shouldn't be given such weighty responsibilities, it's unseemly (even though us long term manly men officials would never touch the subject of universal health care.)

3. I am no fan either
but, she needs to come out forcefully setting the record straight. Each and every time the Republicans misrepresent the truth (that would be lie) they need to be called on it and the truth told. If I recall that is what Bill Clinton did during the campaigns and I guess it worked for him.

4. Her plan was hideous and would have left the worst problems
in place, those generated by a for profit industry that puts profits ahead of delivering the care that people have paid for.

But it was SOMETHING, and a damned sight better than anything the corporate butt kissing GOP has suggested.

5. LOL.
The problem was that the for profit industry would have lost a big chunk of their profits.

That's why it was cheaper for them to spend a hundred million dollars lobbying against Clinton, then lose billions of dollars in decreased pharmaceutical sales, etc.

7. Um, isn't that kinda what she was BEST known for as First Lady?
BushCabal™ literally acts like no one has a memory
longer than 6 months. (Of course, owning most of the
media helps their 'up is down' nonsense a lot.)

It should be pretty easy to Google up an ASSLOAD of
quotes from 1993 or so. Every Repub on the the planet
was bitching about "HillaryCare" for awhile there.
