Can we Dems stop shooting ourselves in the foot already? Lets' circle the wagons and start to take this fight to Bush now, he's weak and we can move in for the kill NOW if we stop romancing about Dean or whoever else.

Please, I beg you.

34. Isn't it funny...
Edited on Fri Feb-06-04 09:27 AM by JDWalley
...how the same people who, a month ago, were denouncing then-front-runner Dean as unelectable, warning how choosing him as nominee would lead to disaster, and generally turning this board into a 24/7 Dean-bash are now uttering pious words about "party unity" and how not immediately setting aside our differences and uniting behind the current front-runner will only help Bush?

8. How about we don't
and say we did.

After all, it's not OUR fault that your guy is an ineffectual ne'er do well that is just another cog in the disgustingly corrupt DC machinery.

If he can't earn our votes, then it's his fault, not ours.

If Kerry manages to hustle his way to the nomination (because his whole campaign is based on a slick talk hustle, a grift, if you will) then he will have to win the GE without my vote, or the votes of many others here.

Howard Dean gets my vote in November, one way or another.

and about Kerry... what about this:

http://washingtontimes.com/national/20040205-115046-4263r.htm

I've said it before, I think Kerry is ... oops, I have to be careful, I had a Kerry post deleted... let's just say, Kerry has *influence* with big corporations and lobbyists. Is that who we want running the country? No, we've got that already.

If you want to change what's wrong in this country, you have to take the opportunity to make a substantive change. Fact is, only Dean and Kuchinich resemble substantive change from the big business interests.

Infighting doesn't really hurt the candidates in the eyes of the voters. (Most of us would probably vote for a wet napkin over Bush anyway.) If anything, it boosts the candidates who handle the pressure and fend off attacks.
