Lieberman officially declares war against Democrats
Lieberman hires GOP pollster
http://www.myleftnutmeg.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=2906

Also at Daily Kos http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/8/18/163434/224
Joe Lieberman, who has bemoaned the fact that Ned Lamont is going to be hurting Democrats in the other competitive races in Connecticut by running is actually going to be sharing polling data with other Connecticut GOP candidates! What's going to destroy Democrats chances in other races in Connecticut is the 300 lbs gorilla Lieberman campaign spending untold dollars on polling data that will help the GOP, a GOP voter focused GOTV effort and a Cheneyesque theme that Democrats can't keep the nation safe!

1. He is beyond disgusting.
All the ugly things that were said about Lieberman have proved to be TRUE, and then some.

It's like Bush -- we couldn't imagine how fucking evil he'd turn out to be. Same with this piece of crap. :grr:

This picture grosses me out but I think it needs to be seen over and over like that VW Bug with "The Kiss" on top, following lieman around in the primary.

8. Seeing how the Democratic pollster he hired . . .
for the primary did a sh***y job, this wouldn't surprise me.

By the way, simply because you hire a pollster who also represents other candidates doesn't mean that your polling data is shared with those candidates. I wouldn't expect other people to know this, but candidates pay good money for their polling data, and no self-respecting pollster of either party would share internal polling data with other candidates without their client's consent.

12. Do you trust Jim Jeffords?
He was a Republican until a few years ago. And while he left the Republican Party (an act of political treason far worse than anything Joe Lieberman has committed), he never joined the Democratic Party. What does that say about him?

with the dems it says he was more of a democrat than a republican. Same with nomojoe, he is moee of a republican than a democrat. I don't beleive he will caucus with the dems and hope he doesn't have the chance to prove it.

16. I always figured it "said" that Jeffords despised the neocon PNAC agenda.
Doesn't make him a Democrat, but it does make him likely to vote against that shit. Unlike Indy Joe, who voted FOR it, even when he was calling himself a Democrat.

35. BINGO!!!
Jeffords saw the writing on the wall. He was against these PNAC miscreants and went independent. Which says a lot about Jeffords-that he had enough integrity and conscience to be against those who have no integrity or conscience. Wasn't it Lieberman who influenced Gore not to press the election results? I'm just asking cause I heard he had a hand in allowing the Bush ascendency. of course, there were other dems who didn't stand with the Black caucus on questioning the 2000 election--look where we are now!!!!

Edited on Fri Aug-18-06 06:00 PM by gbrooks

Compared to pollsters prostitutes are paragons
of discretion. They charge for sex but manage to
maintain their dignity. Pollsters however cannot
make the same claim.

Harry Reid should be stripping him of every committe assignment he holds. EVERY ONE. He is no longer a Democrat... AND now he is sharing information with the enemy.

Unbelieveable.

I'm calling Reid's office tomorrow about this. It's an outrage.

26. That is the key to defeating Lieberman in the general election
Keep tying Lieberman to Bush. Lamont started doing this after Lieberman parroted Dick Cheney's line that Democratic voters support Al Queda when they voted for Lamont.

Don't worry the Kiss-mobile will continue haunting Lieberman on the campaign trail.

36. Was thinking the same thing. My theory: Repubs + Lieb Dems = high #s
I think the crossover of CT Repubs joining with those Dems who voted for Holy Joe is giving him a lead in the polls.

Dems in CT who are backing this guy now find themselves in the position of holding hands with the Kool-Aid drinkers who still think "Lawless" Bush is swell.

40. It Is In The Assumption On Your Part, Sir, They Have The Same Agenda
That the difficulty lies.

They do not have the same agenda, and certainly do not strike many Connecticut voters, who do not approve of Bush but seem ready just now to vote again for Lieberman, as having the same agenda.

Some of the items that move a number of people here to state these two are identical in aim instead strike Connecticut voters as evidence Lieberman sticks to his principles and displays independence, traits that have wide resonance in New England lore particularly.

34. I think she pulled that info out of Kos's ass
Sadly, most of the people who read these blogs don't actually know how campaigns work. Any pollster who shared polling info without their client's consent would be fired. The polling data is proprietary information that the client has paid for. Disseminating that information without permission is theft.

...at least on anything Lieberman...

Polling data is paid for and is the property of whomever pays. If Lieberman pays for polls, they're not going to be shared with anybody else.

This is a completely fabricated issue.
