1. I'll vote FOR Kerry because MY principles mean something too!
Why does this "principles" stuff have to work only one way?:D

Kerry's my 3rd choice, but I'll learn to love him good and quick if he becomes our only shot at getting the Bush-Cheney filth out of the White House. This Clark supporter knows which side her bread is buttered on, even if it's only half a loaf.

(BTW, Old and In the Way, I'm a huge fan of yours, always enjoy your posts.)

4. That's really refreshing to hear, I must say
In the wave of "Dean or green" and so on and so forth, that's so refreshing to hear. You're a real class act, and I respect that position immensely.

10. Why, thank you, patsified!
And, honestly, I think everyone of our candidates have integrity, honesty, and principles.....apparently, these attributes preclude you from being a Republican these days.

I really want Clark engaged and active in the next Democratic administration....whatever he wants.

2. Im a Kerry supporter
but these "what will you do polls" are getting to be a tad too much. If "liberals" decide not top vote for the most liberal candidate in the race then to hell with them. Liberalism is clearly not important to them.

12. That would be the "crying in the teacup" choice
:-)

Didn't want to over stratify the choices, MrSlayer.

17. I guess it's the crying thing that's making me not pick that.
I might be pissed but I won't be crying.

21. Well, that leaves #2 then.......it really matters not, as long as you
pull the Kerry lever.....assuming he gets the nomination, of course.

5. How about trying this one for size?
E-mail every single person that I know and have them e-mail every single person that they know this article:

http://www.suntimes.com/output/elect/cst-nws-dems17.html

Ask them to arrive to their own conclusions on how Kerry is going to expand the military in 100 days.

Tell them about his relationship with the DLC, the DLC's relationship with Will Marshall, Will Marshall's relationship with PNAC, and how PNAC started the Iraq War.

15. Hmmm....well I think I can more than compensate for that...
By the people I know who I could e-mail that article to for whom it would sway them to vote for Kerry.

Whether I am in agreement with that or not, it would be a selling point to a lot of people who might otherwise be reluctant to vote democratic.

6. My 'principles' vs. 20+ years of a radical-right Supreme Court...
Edited on Thu Feb-05-04 08:26 PM by Monte Carlo
I would hope that my faithfulness to my principles will comfort me when 50 years of jurisprudence is reversed and compromised. Interpretation means everything in law.

If the Democrat could win the White House, Kerry or anyone, we have a chance to counter the momentum of the ideologues that have captured our government, for years to come.

14. I totally concur.....
I know there is a bit of posturing and bluffing that is going on at the moment, but the bottom line is this may well be the last stand for peaceful, democratic change. I fear one more term of Republican government will spell the end to institutional democracy. I have 2 teen-agers and I am more concerned for their future than I am mine..

13. Vote for him
But enough of the loyalty threads.

I'm ABB, because getting the chimpster out of the WH is more important to me than anything at this point. And making sure whe don't get more conservatives on the Supreme Court.

Kucinich supporters, I understand because of NAFTA and such.

19. 57 poll results (+1 joker)
26% would support "other"......very sad for a board that is the "Democratic"Underground. I guess we can take solace that the majority of mainstream Democrats, a majority of Independents, and more than a few Republicans will enthusiastically support Kerry, should he win the nomination.
