If Your Candidate Drops Out Before Your State's Primary, Will You...
still vote for him\her??? Or will you choose someone still in the race?

Many here (including me, so far) are planning to come together after the primaries\convention\in the fall, to ensure the defeat of the Chimp-In-Chief. A noble goal, no question.

That said, do you plan to mark your ballot for your 'dropped' guy to let the Dem Party know how you feel, and where you stand?

Or do you feel it's more important to join with the 'frontrunner' (whoever that may be) and surf the juggernaut towards the convention?

My thinking as of this posting: Will vote for Dean in the CA Primary as a reminder to the Party Bosses, and then vote Bush out of office in November.

At least that's how I feel at 2:10pm PST Feb. 5th, 2004... LOL!!!

I don't see Dean dropping out by then.

In November, I'm 1000% ABB.

5. I will vote for a candidate who is still in the race.
It will not be John Kerry, unless Lyndon LaRouche is the only other Democrat still actively campaigning. That said, I will work for our nominee, even sen. kerry, because 4 more years of * is unacceptable.

11. Normally, I Would Too P !!!
But not this time. I'm gonna register my hopes, desires, and protest, by punchin the chad for Dr. Dean.

It looks like it may be the only time I get to do it. I'm not given it up!

6. Hi Willy!
:hi:

I'm pretty much feeling the same way. My guy isn't an insider either and I want to support him and the idea that we don't need to have an endless line of politicians in charge.

But come November. ABB all the way.

12. If DK drops out (unlikely)
I'll vote for Clark or Dean, if they're still around in May. Otherwise, I'll just go with whoever the rest of the country picked. At least I know my vote will count in November - Oregon's split fairly evenly.

13. I'll be voting Dean in the primaries, no matter what.
I've been waiting so long to cast my vote for him, but if he can't stick it out until Super Tuesday, he'll get my vote anyway. He's earned it and I still want to have my say!

But in the GE, of course I'll vote ABB. It's just too important.

14. Will probably pick
someone else if it as close race between someone else I like and someone I don't like to much. If it is not a close contest I will vote for Clark even if he isn't running any longer :-(. Living in CA I rarely get a chance to vote my first choice because they have usually dropped out by then. :argh:

22. Lieberman my fav. already dropped out:
I'll probably vote for him because only him, Dean, and Kucinich filed delegates in my district. It's kind of pointless to vote for somebody, and vote for somebody else's delegates.

I'll vote for John Kerry, John Edwards, or whomever is the Democratic nominee (even Dean) in November. My guess is Dean wins my state (md.) anyway.

If he isn't, I will vote for the remaining candidate that I think has
the best chance of ousting Bush.

25. I'll vote for my second choice if
he is still in the race and it's still a contested race. If it's already decided by March 9, I'll vote for Wes Clark in the Texas primary and vote for the nominee in November.

There is only one way I won't vote for Wes Clark in the primary--if it is a two man race and I think one would be more successful defeating bush than the other.

The nominee definitely has my vote in November.

26. I will vote for Kucinich.
He won't be dropping out; whatever delegates he gets, he'll be taking our issues to the convention. Which is right where I want him. I would suggest that, if you are considering your vote a reminder to party bosses, and Dean is not on the ballot, mark your vote for the man who will still be there at the convention. Dennis Kucinich...the status quo's nightmare.

27. I will not vote for Dean if he drops out before June
That is when my primary is. I think it is important for Democrats to vote for an individual who is actually in the race. As much as I would hate to see Dean gone, I would have to be pragmatic and vote for one of the guys still in there.
