In less then 30 minutes in Columbus, OH the Chamber of
Congress put on 3 repug commercials.

2 telling about how Rep. Pryce helps seniors with drug costs
(pure b.s. she along w/ DeLay & Hastert kept the vote open
much longer then the rules allowed to get through the Medicaid
law that was written by the HMOs and drug companies .... she
has gotten lots of $ from them)

1 For Mike DeWine

3. Since always.
The CoC has always had Republican ties, nothing overt, or even covert. It's just that only Republicans want to join for some reason. ;-)

8. Oh - it's OVERT all right - they actually said it ont he radio awhile back
I heard it myself.

There's nothing "covert" about it.

It's quite deliberate.

That's one reason why I quit that bastard organization.

4. The Chambers of Commerce...
IMHO - are becoming nothing more that right-wing, republican, propaganda outlets. Actually, I have to say, we have 2 chambers of commerce in my county. One actually works for the best interest of their members and tries to hold events, draw visitors, market for the local business. The other is nothing but a political operation in disguise. The President of "this" Chamber is nothing but a wanna be insider and lobbyist. This is not something Chamber members can afford. They need a chamber that actually works for them. Not another layer of the right-wing "machine". If they want to donate to a PAC or a candidate it is one thing. But, when they are trying to join an organization for the benefit of increasing their local business and market the area, they are being taken for a ride. It's BS.

5. I really want to find out what percent of businesses join these chambers.
What percentage of businesses join these Republican leaning chambers of commerce chapters.

Perhaps the chamber of commerce speaks for a very small fraction of businesses.

In my view, Republicans practice radical capitalism as opposed to Democrats who practice responsible capitalism with compassion.

Do companies with Democratic voting businessmen join business groups other than the Chamber of commerce?

7. All Chambers of Commerce decided that the repukes had their best interests
so they decided to automatically support/encourage repuke candidates/causes OPENLY.

They actually said this awhile back.

Says a lot, doesn't it?!
