Dear xxxx

Late last month, I introduced major legislation that aims to bring much-needed reform to our nation's health care system and puts us on the road toward universal health care. I need your support today to show congress that the country demands action on this important issue.

Sign the Petition

After holding almost 1,000 listening sessions in each of Wisconsin's 72 counties, the number one issue I hear about is the rising costs of health care. From families struggling to pay for needed prescription drugs, to small business owners trying to find a way to cover their employees, there is no question that we are in a crisis and need decisive action.

But it is not just an issue affecting Wisconsin. I've heard these same concerns about our current health care crisis across the country. In each and every state the message has been the same: it's time to reform our current health care system.

Sign the Petition

My plan would establish a pilot program under which, in exchange for significant financial assistance, states would be required to move toward universal health care for all of their citizens. States that apply for the pilot program would have great flexibility in how they might achieve this goal. A state might decide to pursue a single-payer system; or, use a mix of the existing public health care programs along with private health insurance; or, a completely different approach. But the bottom line is making sure every American is covered!

Sign the Petition

Please take the time to read more about my plan and sign my petition to help show those controlling Congress that it's far past time that every American has affordable health coverage. We simply can't wait any longer.

Sincerely,

Russ Feingold
US Senator
