Did McKinney blow her 2nd chance?
She showed a lot of courage in 2001 and 2002, when she was one of the few speaking the truth about the Fuhrer. Then she was defeated in the 2002 elections by another lady from her District. She came back in 2004. She won her election and came back for another shot. Then she had the "encounter" with the Capitol Police. But, even before that, she did not take advantage of her opportunity. She had a chance to become a spokesperson for a larger group of people than when she left in 2002. Because, many more people now agree with her position she had at that time. But, something happened. Either she was playing it too safe or she simply did not have the energy for the fight?

2. She said he lied us into the war in Iraq...
But few people believed her. They thought she was making insane, radical remarks. She had a lot of support here on DU... (The "Fuhrer" is Bush)

3. many people said that...
...didn't she say Bush had some prior knowledge of 911?

And is saying what she said reason enough for the people in her district to vote her back in?

4. Yes, she blew it
In this district, winning the primary for a Democrat is the same as winning the race. McKinney blew it off, thinking she was a lock for 50+%. I have zero sympathy for her. You can't take things for granted in an open primary state.

Johnson is not going to abandon the seat and make a foolish premature run for senate, which is the only way McKinney got back into office in the first place. I hope she does well if she loses, but somehow I'm expecting more of an occasional scattergun sideshow.
