In case you didn't know, Wolfie used to work for AIPAC. How in the world can he possibly be considered an unbiased source of news on this issue?

2. I was once told (don't know if this is true) that he was a dual citizen
of Israel and America. Does anyone know if that's true? It could explain a lot. And, I never knew he was former AIPAC! I think the day of the "honest broker" in the media is over anyway. That ship has sailed.

8. Ooops ... I see from a post below that it was the Post, not the Times
But still .... he worked for a Jeruselem newspaper. I had it wrong. It was the Jeruselem Post. There may not even *be* a Jeruselem Times.

7. Are you serious???
That's incredible. THAT explains a lot about his biased attitudes and cock-eyed reportage.

6. Here is some information
"Wolf Blitzer (born March 22, 1948 in Buffalo, New York) is a Jewish American journalist and author. He has been a CNN reporter since 1990, and is known for his straightforward "hard news" reporting style. Blitzer is currently the host of the newscast The Situation Room and the Sunday talk show Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer. Blitzer previously hosted Wolf Blitzer Reports, which was replaced by The Situation Room.

Blitzer, whose first name was his maternal grandfather's name, <1> grew up in Buffalo, New York, the son of Jewish Holocaust refugees from Poland. He graduated from Kenmore West Senior High School. He received a B.A. degree in history from the University at Buffalo in 1970 and an M.A. degree in international relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in 1972. While studying at SUNY Buffalo Wolf was a brother of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, as was former CNN coworker Robert Novak.

His career in journalism began in 1972, in the Tel Aviv bureau of the Reuters news agency. He soon moved to Washington, D.C., where he was White House correspondent for The Jerusalem Post after a spell working for AIPAC. In 1990 he was hired by CNN as a military affairs reporter. His team's coverage of the first Gulf War in Kuwait won a CableACE Award and made him a household name. He became CNN's White House correspondent and later co-anchored the daily show The World Today. His coverage of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing earned him an Emmy Award. In 1997, he began hosting the CNN interview programs Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer, and in 2000 Wolf Blitzer Reports.

Blitzer has regularly been criticized by some observers for what they see as a pro-Israel worldview."

Notice that he never studied journalism, he's got degrees in history and international relations. Another one of those "I'm not really a journalist, but I play one on TV", like Tim Russert.

I claim NO sides on these ME "religious" wars.

Other than PURE Humanitarian type aid (medicines, doctors, social services), I'm an American who hopes that we take & keep our butts out (no troops on the ground!) of the affairs within this region. :scared:

With Journalists that are not "above board" with at least divulging their backgrounds ... plus congressional Democrats turning to neo-liberalism "warmongering for Israel" mode. I've never felt more alienated from the LEADERSHIP of OUR COUNTRY.

13. What difference does it make?
Wolf has always been the king of the stupid question with a biaed base. CNN has turned into the Conservative News Networks, almost as bad as Faux in refering to "experts" that happen to be members of RW thinktanks.

I can hardly watch CNN anymore. I'm glad that I get BBC, TV5, the Spanish news and access to a media that represents a wide political spectrum.
