1. Blue floods Ohio in November.
Hold on to your hats.

Democrats as far as the eye can see.

2. Let's be realistic about democracy
And I won't comment on your screen name, except to say that I value the real I Ching, and I communicate with the Sage and the Cosmic Consciousness through it often.

Let's be realistic: Things change, and some things are transformed. Nothing is etched in stone. Not even the defeat you so gleefully pin on us.

4. Defeat??.....this is what the Iching rolled for your question.
MOI?

do i want defeat? .....My question to the Iching.

The present is embodied in Hexagram 28 - Ta Kuo (Preponderance of the Great)
: We see a beam that is weak. Under these conditions,
there will be advantage in moving in any direction at all.
There will be success.
The third line, undivided, shows a beam that is weak.
There will be evil.
The fourth line, undivided, shows a beam curving upwards.
There will be good fortune.
If the subject of it looks for other help but that of line one, there will be cause for regret.
The situation is shifting, and Yin (the passive feminine force) is gaining ground.

don't judge me least thee be judge.

5. What's with all the pessimism around here?
"Let's cede Ohio to the Repubs."

"Ned Lamont can't win in a 3-way race."

"Impeachment is a waste of time."

Good god, people! The Democratic Party has a very good chance of gaining significant ground in '06. So instead of all this naysaying, how about some optimism? After all, it's called DEMOCRATIC Underground. Geez....

6. I'm all for optimism. You can't accomplish anything without it. BUT
the voting machines aren't going away. That's the only way the Dems lose in my mind. But there's a lot of work to do whether Dems win or lose.

And we need to keep making people aware of the voting machine scam.

It's not a democracy when the vote is counted in total secrecy without any verification to check for accuracy. That's the long and short of it, and anything can happen in a banana republic.
