My Two-cent’s on John McCain …

Before the 2000 campaign John McCain was one if not the only Republican I could have possibly voted for if the Democratic Candidate was a total DINO.

I am a Navy veteran and had some respect for his Naval Service and his POW ordeal but he squandered all my respect for him after the 2000 campaign.

How can anyone let someone run their family through the rumor mill and smear you, your wife and your child and then smile for the cameras?

Now not only do you abandon every principle that made you different from the rest of the GOP but go down on bended knee for the likes of Jerry Falwell?

The GOP hardliners will never vote for you … ever … so stop kissing their ass!

2. Agreed, agreed, agreed 1100%
And please remind me, if you know, how the scoring works on this:

He managed to get THREE BushCo talking points into one sentence: (paraphrased from memory) "We knew it would be a tough slog, but we have to stay the course, because when they step up we'll step down."

Is that like hitting the 'triple word score' in Scrabble, or is it more like three-of-a-kind in poker?

4. Let's not forget
the POW mental stability factor Bush himself used against John McCain during the 2000 GOP Primary. If I recall, his campaign basically painted McCain's entire familiy as "nuts".

5. Bush/Rove accomplished what the Vietcong couldn't - they broke McCain and
now McCain will say whatever they tell him to say to whom and in whatever forum they dictate. He's a broken man, with no more fight than a pony in a petting zoo.

6. YOU KNOW IT, BLUE
I too used to respect McCain - I lost it all when he embraced bush after the bush campaign had trashed McCain's family in the sleaziest way possible - just unforgivable

8. mclame also has a notoriously short fuse...
Everytime I see mclame, I think he's going to explode...

A recent exchange between mclame and some fellow senators...

Senator #1: so john, you play a mean game of golf I hear?

mclame: oh yeah, just who the fuck told you that??!!!!

Senator #2: whoa, whoa, john back off, we were just talking golf here...

mclame: whoa? whoa? who the fuck are you? Fucking goddamn, john fucking wayne?

Senator #3: John, what's wrong with you? are you alrii....

mclame: fuck you, you dumb fuck. are you trying to tell me I have a fucking problem? I tell you this you little turd, you will have the problem, that's right, I will make your life fucking miserable!!

Senator #4: Look, we are just asking you about golf, okay?

mclame: no, it's not okay, you guys love to attack me and this is a set up, you all are after me. fuck you!

Senator #5: Ssshhh, here comes the prez...

moron*: what goes on here? Hey john!

mclame bear hugs moron* and sticks his tongue out at the other Senators.

moron*: Ummm, john, you can let go now...

John continues to hold on.

moron*: can someone scrape this guy off of me?

The other Senators try to pull mclame off the prez*. mclame holds on like grim death. Several other Senators pile on to dislocate mclame from moron*.

moron*: get this idiot off of me!!!

Like the sound a popping cork, mclame breaks free. the prez* straightens his tie, the other Senators smooth down their rumpled cloths. Everyone catches their breath in the awkward moment.

Silence falls upon the group. Each eying the other nervously. Finally the prez* breaks the silence...

moron*: John McLame! your next president!!

10. McCain is two-faced, even on his signature issue,
campaign finance reform. That turkey has a lot of wealthy benefactors. That turkey was seen in California, campaigning with Arnold schwarzeRENEGER for der Gropinator's misguided ballot initiatives backed by Arnold's big business buddies. PTUI!!! Dems. should avert their eyes from this fraud.

12. I don't know how a former POW can stand by and allow torture.
He could have gotten the attention of the press and raised holy hell.

13. I haven't trusted him since he was one of the "Keating Five"
He was selling himself out way back when. He hasn't changed. He just reinvented himself after getting caught. And he keeps reinventing himself.

He's got Potomac Fever and he's got it bad. He'll do anything he can to get a chance to run again.

15. Frankly, I would have voted for McCain over Gore in 2000
I'd voted Democratic all my life, but I was disgusted with Clinton

Because he was the most anti-privacy President in history (according to Nat Hentoff)
Because of Waco
Because of assault rifles in a child custody dispute in the Elian affair
Because of the airwar against civilians in Bosnia
Because allowing the stock market bubble and over-employment was irresponsible

After seeing this, I'll never vote for McCain

I note he's also written the introduction to a forthcoming book by Popular Mechanics
called "Debunking 911 Myths". http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/158816635X/002-5362160-2208856?v=glance&n=283155

If this book is anything like the hit piece PM did on 9/11 Truth last year it will
focus on straw men, and be full of obfuscation and deception.

Any admiration I had for him after his Viet Nam ordeal is gone. He spent his capital.

Any one else gotten one? Going on about the seriousness of global warming. The subliminal message seems to be "See, not all Repubs are anti-science fruitcakes!"

that makes me wonder just how much of an ordeal McCain's POW experience was. Did he kiss his captors ass too?
