no matter how much damage they did with their box cutters.
9/11 was a horrible attack, yes. i was there. i saw the towers ablaze.
but it ain't no pearl harbor. never was. that was all a lie designed to turn an unpopular failure of a presidency into a "war means we can do whatever the f*ck we want" presidency, and the media and the rest of the power structure fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
pearl harbor: organized military attack from an alliance of nations who had not only expressly declared their intention to conquer the world, but had also already demonstrated their ability and desire to invade and conquer quite a number of countries already. plus, they had the clear ability to engage in war on an ongoing basis. and in a quaint anachronism, they actually declared war, albeit with some timing problems. they destroyed not only many lives, but also half our navy. as in, key military assets.
9/11: 19 criminals without any military equipment managed to killed about 3,000 people and destroyed a commercial building, 4 commercial planes, and did structural damage to our military headquarters. these 19 people represented fringe views that held power over no nation at all, didn't have a military, didn't have the ability to invade and conquer, and didn't have the ability continue to press their attack except perhaps on a once-a-decade kind of timeframe.
america's reaction, as a nation, has been disgraceful.
