Clark, Dean and Kucinich supporters, what topics to you want me to
write letters on? One for each candidate. I am a man of my word and will write a email to media outlets, I'll post the letter and the list of the places I send it. Please do the same. I have some good data on media bias, already wrote one letter this week for Clark on this, I can do the same for Dean and Kucinich if nobody has a specific topic for their candidate.

1. Topic: Kerry is perceived winner by media when only 10% of delegates
have been decided.

6. YES, that's soooo annoying. The media is too powerful :-(
They want to get a jump on the story so early that they make the story up all by themselves. So many people are calling Kerry the winner already! Aaahhh, it makes me wasnt to pull my hair out. This race is far from over, don't they see that! Americans are too hasty, we have short attention spans which is why we make opinions about things so fast. It annoys me. x(

4. I don't promise results, only action on my part, and if a lot of us act,
you never know what will happen!

This is part of what happened with the right, they got organized and vocal, we can too. I don't have to support Dean and Kucinich to want ALL democratic candidates to get equitable and neutral coverage. Nor do Dean and Kucinich supporters have to support Clark, to want fair political coverage for all Democrats. But if we all fight the bias in the media we have a much better chance of winning part of the real fight, to get our country back.

3. How come the media never mentions the fact that Clark has only been
running as a candidate for 4 months and the rest of them have been much longer....He's done remarkably well in a short time!!!....I have never heard even ONE person mention this fact.

7. I'd like a message suporting Dean's healthcare plan.
This is the single biggest issue as far as I'm concerned. Dean has a great healthcare plan that I'm sure would gain traction if its elements were publicized.

8. Thanks turkw...nice offer
I'd like to see Dennis get fair treatment the few times they have him on & not have some little weasel like tucker c making snide comments that have nothing to do with issues, etc. I'm sick of the way they marginalize Dennis.

I'd like to have Dennis to be listed on their %^#@ graphics on election nites....and I'd like to have them simply not "disappear him" period.

If you can do anything towards that I'd be most appreciative.:)

We have to fight for each other cause we all are Dems....

Peace

9. I'm awfully tired but, here goes for Kucinich.
Kucinich's policies would make us safer and stronger as a nation. Getting out of Iraq and canceling NAFTA and the WTO would remove much of the ammunition that people who hate us use against us.(Big imperialist power and super-powerful multinationals forcing its will on small third world nations, by force and by law)> Kucinich would be respected by friends and enemies as a man of peace, but not weak, as he would defend the United States, but not be an aggressor nation or allow corporations to run rampant against other nations.Bi-lateral trade agreements would be mutually agreed upon and include worker and environmental protections.By setting the tone for world-wide nuclear disarmament, we could look forward to more safety in that arena.

Domestically, Bush has made us less safe by devastating our economy.Much of our national debt is now owned by China and other nations who could decide at any time that holding it was not in their national interest. By reducing the defense budget by 15% and doing away with most of the Bush tax cuts, we would become stronger economically and no longer subject to the whims of foreign nations and big corporations to play us for suckers.By taking care to put our house in order, we would have the money to do right by ordinary people and small business, expand Medicare to include all, restore infrastructure, and still have some to share with the world for major problems like AIDS and lack of education and medical care in the third world.

I have probably not made myself clear. Will check back tomorrow when I aM RESTED. The thing that needs to be gotten across is that Bush has made us LESS SAFE on every front, and for Dennis, domestic well-being and the health of our people and our economy are part of the same picture of security and safety that foreign relations are.

10. Question them on whether it makes any sense for...
Their worthless opinions to be on the air more than the candidates themselves. Tell them Wes Clark will make it a law that the candidates must be on the air twice as much as the pundits minimum!

11. Remind them to actually report that Dennis got a retraction from DIEBOLD
That was a major deal, and got little, if any, press.

I want to highly commend you for taking this step. I will also follow your lead.

Earlier tonight, there was a post about how discouraging all the in-fighting has been. You have taken a wonderful step in the other direction, and I appreciate it more than you know.

12. For Dennis
Remind them that Dennis has served his country well, run a fiscally sound campaign, outshines all the others when it comes to work ethic and consistently walking his talk in congress, and is a walking example of the american dream. Remind them that a man like this should have been accorded equal respect and coverage, and that we would like to see them make up for lost ground from here on out.

Out of Dennis' many groundbreaking positions, I would highlight health care. Health care is a crisis that is touching most voters where it counts, and Dennis needs to be heard on this issue.

13. I would like a letter
written about Clark's position on the issues. The media never talks about his positions....and he has some GREAT ideas. His progressive tax plan, college grants, health care, equal rights and pay for women, a plan to get us out of Iraq, ect... There's more at:
www.clark04.com

Thank You for this effort!

Go Wes!

15. For Dennis please focus on
his stand on election reform (no black boxes, Instant runoff, etc etc), and how even after the fiasco of 2000 it is still not being addressed!

16. For Dennis
Edited on Thu Feb-05-04 08:48 AM by MuseRider
One little thing you might want to add. DK is not a vanity candidate, he was drafted by many people who wanted his message out there and feel very strongly about his run. In my opinion this tag they have given him has hurt him greatly. I suppose this would go for Clark as well but I have never heard him called a vanity candidate although it would not surprise me.

on edit THANK YOU
