Fineman on Imus discusses Lamont/lieberman debate
In an earlier segment Craig Crawford was his usual hem hawing self, who refused to stand up to Imus' characterization of Lieberman as the clear winner. Commenting instead on Lamont's suit. But H. Fineman
was stinging in his comments that Lierman is in trouble, that he appeared to be attacking because he was in trouble.

1. Fineman's analysis is the best I've seen so far.
He pointed out that Lieberman's aggressive attack on Lamont would probably not go over well
with Connecticut voters, who are used to seeing Lieberman is a warm, congenial person. The primary
turnout is expected to be low, but the voters will likely be the activist Dems who want Lamont.
Yes, Joe is in trouble.

2. Imus likes Lierman doesn't he? Imus can't be objective when he likes
someone.

3. A few unnecessary words in your last sentence:
"Imus can't be objective." would suffice.

4. Yeh, I doubt that Imus actually "likes" anyone. How did such an old grouch
ever get his own radio show?

5. i loved Lamont's FOX NEWS comment
when Joe repeatedly interrupted him towards the end, Lamont blurted out

"this is not FOX NEWS, you know ?"

IMUS can go kiss Joe if he likes him so much.

7. The moderator did a horrible job controlling that
Lieberman went on and on and on from the beginning.

6. I agree that Fineman had the better take on the debate, but
did you hear him describe Joe's vote on the Iraq authorization as "courageous"?It may have been a well intentioned vote but to suggest it took a scintilla of bravery to go along with the boy president is ludicrous.I swear I go back and forth trying to decide whether these pundits are bought and paid for by the RNC or if they are just plain stupid. And where I come out is that they are both.

8. exactly. what was courageous when that vote was taken is the
votes of the Senators who voted against it--because polls at the time favored the resolution--and it was taken just before the midterm elections.
