If Dean looses Washington and Michigan will he endorse Clark?

It seems like Dean and Kerry kind of hate one another and I remember Clark actually sticking up for Dean a couple of times. I still wonder what they discussed in that early meeting? I know Dean called Clark a Republican but that's just Dean being Dean. I don't think he has any hard feelings for Clark.

Howard Dean has made it clear that he's totally committed to ABB. It only makes sense that he'd hold back until the nomination to pull his complete commitment to the Democratic candidate.

Another thing is that he'd probably try and help out one candidate or another, up to that point...

But - once again, we're getting waaaaaaaay ahead of ourselves. Let's dance for a few more rounds, first!

that will be pretty earthshattering. I'm here in Kitsap, organizing as best I can for Clark, and Dean is the only campaign that had any traction whatsoever up until Clark declared. Kucinich has his faithful core, but I'm uncertain what will happen there. Near as I can tell, there's only a few Edwards supporters, and I don't think any of them are hardcore enough to caucus (but I could be wrong). He's just had no presence in the state whatsoever. I doubt, very much, that Dean would ever endorse Kerry (until the fat lady sang, anyway). But I'm also uncertain he'd endorse anyone at all...(meaning that I don't think he'll endorse anyone until there is a clear nominee, not that he'll fold his arms across his chest and go sulk in his office in Vermont). I'm sure Dean will be out there pounding his war drums right up until the election.

It would be tragic if Dean supporters were not out there in droves. It is Dean's campaign that has stirred up so many that haven't voted to come out and let their voices be heard. His support base is just amazing. One would think the others would have that somewhere in their minds and planning on how to tap into it if Dean falls out somewhere along the line. But I believe it will be a very long time before we see Dean or his army of supporters give up. They will fight to the very end.

Judging by the strength of the Dean supporters on this board, the Dean Machine will not be slowing down anytime soon. He's saying things that need to be said, and I'm glad to have him around.

It would be nice if he would support Clark, but it's just too early at this point. From a strictly personal perspective, I'd hate for all our eggs to be in one basket. If he drops out, Clark would be left as the only grassroots candidate. We'll have a better idea of things after Super Tues.

How could staying in hurt the party? It would be grossly unjust to have the nominee appointed when there are still approximately 90% of the public who hasn't even cast a ballot yet. Surely you aren't suggesting that a small percentage of voters in a few states should be able to decide for the entire country.

Politically it doesn't make sense to endorse, mostly because if someone wins who you DID NOT endorse, you're up shite creek.
