AGENDA JOURNALISM???

I just barely caught this at the end of the Daily Show last night. One of the "journalists" on Faux. Anybody else catch it? I'd use this in an English class to demonstrate irony...

1. Karen Hughes came up with another catchy slogan....

(...and yes, I think SHE is the wordsmith behind the majority of Bush's slogans..)

They will spend the entire week trying out the latest catchy slogan...."agenda journalism".

The Democrats new mantra (via John Murtha's speech at town meeting in Virginia last month), should be:

We are fighting another war,.. a war of rhetoric vs. substantive solutions/debates..(a war against catchy slogans!).

Tell Republicans we want "FEWER slogans and MORE solutions." ( repeat....repeat...repeat...)

2. Actually, it's called advocacy journalism -

and the neocons and repugs have been practicing it for years. I love how they rename stuff they've been doing and blame it on others.
