Is It Time To Start Donating To The DCCC?
ok, i admit i have been pissed off at the dems for not doing shit on election reform.

ever since the last stolen election i return the envelopes asking for donations with stickers that say: ELECTION REFORM and WHEN YOUR VOTE IS CHANGED IN CYBERSPACE WILL ANYONE HEAR YOU SCREAM?

i write little notes on the donation form saying that if our votes aren't going to be counted then nothing else is going to matter

i haven't sent/donated a penny

and now...now...(the guilt, the guilt) another letter from pelosi today.

is it time to start donating? have i punished them enough (to no avail)?
they aren't listening, there is no election reform happening at the federal level

(lou dobbs did a piece on this tonight and HIS viewers voted 80% that the machines shouldn't be used until their security can be guaranteed!)

but of course i want the dems to win back the house. of course i want to see the freak administration serving jail time, slithering away in disgrace, etc.

so what's a liberal to do???
can i get your opinion? thanks.

1. so, is it a personal letter thanking you for your concerns and offering
to start DOING something about the problem as you describe it?

or just another form letter cranked out to yank in cash?

is the letter using language that is appropriate to describe the behavior of the tyrants in charge,
and is that language being used in public by elected dems when referring to repubs, or just in letters?

you decide :-)

3. wonder if any of those elected dems ever read here on DU...
certainly they do not appropriate the suggested language we would like them to use to show they really care
about our views. Although the WEBB guy in VA seems to have the ability to come up with his own offense hehe.

I am going to demfest in san diego this month, my first venture into progressive organizing in that manner. its
a legacy of the howard dean campaign and democracyforamerica.

having had the pleasure of meeting the doctor 3 times and having him wear one of my dean shirts, I really was
impressed by his demeanor and earnestness.

so I am gonna get out there and organize, join up with people who DO really express similar views.

More than just campaign donation letters indeed.

Donate to candidates who reflect your viewpoints. The DCCC favors DLCers.

6. No
Donate directly to the Progressive of your choosing. The DCCC doesn't support progressives....they give money to DLC toadies.

8. Pick the candidates you like and donate to them directly
I will never do anything else. However, a Democracy Bond from the DNC might be in order, as the 50-state strategy seems to be working pretty well.
