What will republicans call cut and run when they cut and run from Iraq
Stand up and Flight? No doubt, as we speak rove has wordsmiths working in the bowels of the white house coming up with a catchy, yet short and rhymy phrase that will roll right off the tongues of the flag wavers touting their heroes for not cutting and running but "Leave no Private Behind?" "The Clean Deserts Initiative?"

By October Democrats will be bashed for being war mongers.

1. Cut and run, my foot! I was taught at a young age not to
run with scissors, which translates into not to cut and run. You fool liberals won't be happy until every God-given child is running with scissors, will you? Everyone just running and cutting anything in sight.

It's just wrong, just plain wrong, I say.

6. "Turn Slowly and Meander Away" gets my vote. They can't have
a catchphrase that sounds too much like Cut and Run.

heck, I like "Stand Up and Flight" too! "The Clear Deserts Initiative" is even better.

No doubt, by October the peace-loving Repubs (with the profits from their Halliburton stock and Big Oil stock all securely tucked away) will be berating the Dems for getting us into Iraq......and Coulter will be outraged if anyone suggests any Republican voted for going into Iraq.....

16. "Advance to the Rear!"
I forget what general used that euphemism for retreating after getting his ass kicked in a battle.

14. He and others have already laid the groundwork for this...
although the White House website is getting harder and harder to navigate when it comes to past speeches. I'm sure someone out there has noted ways in which he's prepared his blind followers for this.

My guess is that sometime in December or January there will be a quick declaration that the Iraqi's have everything they need to make it work, followed by an even faster withdrawal. When the whole place goes the way of Saigon, Bush can "credibly" say, "It was ok when we left..." Then he'll have no Iraq war to bug him while he has 'a life to lead,' and "legacy" to hone in his last two years in office.

18. Nixon's peace with honor speech, the text:
"Throughout the years of negotiations, we have insisted on peace with honor. In my addresses to the Nation from this room of January 25 and May 8, <1972> I set forth the goals that we considered essential for peace with honor.

In the settlement that has now been agreed to, all the conditions that I laid down then have been met. A cease-fire, internationally supervised, will begin at 7 p.m., this Saturday, January 27, Washington time. Within 60 days from this Saturday, all Americans held prisoners of war throughout Indochina will be released. There will be the fullest possible accounting for all of those who are missing in action.

During the same 60-day period, all American forces will be withdrawn from South Vietnam.

The people of South Vietnam have been guaranteed the right to determine their own future, without outside interference."

Busholini's successor will be giving the same speech.

Please note that we cut'n'ran from vietnam in 60 days. What the heck is this six months/12 months crap?
