Dean supporters rule!
Just wanted to say that I am so impressed with the dedication of Dean supporters as well as thanks to those well-wishing Dean people who have been so supportive of us Clark supporters.

The show of unity makes me feel warm inside (really, I'm not kidding

Dean supporters: Your dedication inspires me to work harder for my own guy and I urge you also to not give up. The media is always the same: They build someone up and they knock them down. That way they can get an exciting story on both ends. It's the same as they do to celebrities (Martha Stewart, Michael Jackson, etc.)

Dean supporters-you go, go, go. Meanwhile, we will do likewise!

BTW, to Edwards supporters: You were such gentlemen and ladies before. Please do not turn it around now and start getting negative. It does no one any good.

6. I'm so happy about Wes Clark winning Oklahoma

He's so cool, and I think people have just begun to see what a winner he is. Congratulations to Wes and all his supporters.

:hi:

2. The animus between Dean & Clark supporters
that was prevalent here up until a few weeks ago was always heartbreaking to me. I have always felt like both camps had a lot more common ground than differences. I'm glad the two camps are starting to feel the love a little more.

30. I'm with you.
There is a common ground. I'm glad we're finding it.

3. Thanks!!!:-)
The recent shows of unity between the Dean and Clark camps have been lifting my spirits too. Enough, in fact, that I decided to send a small check to Clark in addition to Dean this time. Keep up the good fight!

4. Congrats on OK!
I admit that I've not been fond of Clark in the past (I thought he was the DNC/DLC/Establishment choice). Seeing how he's been treated by our party (almost as bad as Dean), I've since changed my mind. Anyone who can inspire that much antipathy in our "leaders" can't be all bad!

If our nominee isn't Dean, I actually now hope that it's Clark. Keep the faith- and hopefully y'all can take Tennessee too! :)

5. Good point
Dean supporters have always stood by their man with money, and I know many of us on the Clark side have been (and will continue to be) inspired by their example.

7. Dean and Clark supports are both
grass roots campaigns based on belief in our candidates and realization that the we are fighting a machine designed to keep us slaves to corporate masters. Good to hear from you thought right now I'm feeling pretty low.

17. Don't be down.
We will win in the end, even if it's not 2004. We've started something that is not going to go away. The media and corporate special interests can no longer keep this jack in the box.

9. some of us are both, you know
I'm a Dean supporter, got my mother and sister to pay attention to him a few months ago. Now they're fervent Dean supporters. My sister says she's really for Kucinich, but she's also realistic. My mother has gotten completely disgusted with the "establishment" and thinks the scream was blown all out of proportion... When I first told her about Dean she said she thought Edwards looked very interesting also. Now she talks a lot about Clark. Throughout this she says she doesn't trust Kerry. ...

A bit of a ramble on my part, but get my point?

10. Thanks Skepty. Clark supporters rule too.
If we could somehow get both candidates together in ANY combination we would have a winning ticket worth voting for come November. I know this is unlikely but I can dream can't I?

Sometimes it helps to walk a mile in the other guys shoes.

We know what it is like to take on the intstalled Dem power with a campaign pulled up from its bootstraps. I respect what you guys are doing.

18. Dean and Clark are the grass roots candidates.
In my opinion, they're the only valid ones to represent the people, not the special interests.

I hope Howard can rise like a Phoenix and help Clark challenge the "leadership" of this party. He is a vital, important part of this campaign.

21. Clark folks - love you to death!!! Wish our "guys" could run as a duo.
Along with we Dean people - you are the nicest guys out there. Your posts are always respectful and I, for one, appreciate that very much-thanks!
If something happens and for some odd reason Howard would ever drop out (not bloody likely..)I would definitely pound the pavement and donate for only Wes and no one else!

Clark might be unpolished, but so's Dean. I think we have a lot in common.

23. Thanks for the good word!
Clark is the only one who turned my head for a moment away from Dean (the sig line is mocking a campaign slogan).

I would proudly vote for Clark, and for Kucinich, too, BTW.

You guys hang in there.

24. Thanks, SkeptyCal. The Dean and Clark people actually have a lot
in common. There are big differences too, sure, but Dean and Clark are both outsiders who didn't support the IWR, NCLB, or the Patriot Act. Both want responsible finances.

I'm backing Dean and you're backing Clark, but should my candidate withdraw, I'd be happy to support yours.

Dean and Clark on the same ticket. Both men are smart and decent - something we could really use in the White House!

28. I have always liked Gen. Clark.
Even though I support Dr. Dean. I purposely lurked and did not post here at DU because of the animosity and vitriol going on between the Clark and Dean factions.I just hope the mutual admiration continues and is genuine and isn't just a case of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" syndrome.

I still see a lot of hostility on both sides here at DU before I'm convinced that the Clark and Dean folks are ready to sit by the campfire holding hands and singing Kumbaya.
