A general is on the news circuit: "Iran behind Shiite insurgents".

The BBC caught it - needless to say, CNN and AP et al didn't. For the 1st time the US has recognized that the insurgency isn't just "Baathist/Sadam loyalists" and "Al Qaida". While anyone with a modicum of knowledge and a half-functioning cerebral cortex already knew that Al Zarqawi was largely an Emmanual Goldstein created by our PsyOps squad and that the "Sadam loyalists" were a very minor part of the insurgency, the gubmint finally recognized (because it has confused its objectives vis a vis Iran's nuke program) that the insurgency is far more than what it has always clung to like messy toilet paper on the derriere of a salmonella victim.

Don't count on the cogdis brigade noticing this however. You gotta "support our troops" and echoe
the Nuremburg defense.
