As of just before the polls closed this afternoon, Nancy was in first place!!! All of you helped get her there. Now we have to wait until Monday to see if she actually won. With Instant Runoff Voting, we won't know the winner until all the votes are tallied and allocated according to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place votes.

I emailed DFA, and they say that the live results DID reflect IRV! I also got an email randomly asking me to confirm my vote, so keep your eyes open for those too.

4. I remember nancy from the late, sorta great IE america radio days...

when she was on Doug Stephan's show. She was great. Glad she's doing so well in politics. She deserves it.

I liked how we got an inside look into politics when she ran in the Illinois primary against Barak Obama & others. I'm glad to see she hasn't given up & could win us a Democratic seat in the House to boot! :)

According to Jordan, upthread, he e-mailed DFA and they said the final Friday standings already included the IRV, so we're pretty sure she won, I guess, but we won't have the official word until Monday after they audit the votes.
