1. Amen, Dr. Dean. Amen!
Dean harkened back to the speech that launched his insurgent campaign to stardom a year ago. In twin speeches before Democrats in Washington and California last February, Dean asked why other Democratic candidates had supported President Bush’s tax cut, his education plan and the war in Iraq.

“I’m still waiting for the answers,” Dean said, uncharacteristically reading from a prepared script.

“Our economy is at risk, our international reputation is in disrepair,” Dean said. “The fabric of our society is being torn apart. These are not petty political differences to be papered over by gamesmanship in Washington, D.C. This is a fundamental disagreement about the very nature of what it means to be an American.”

Haven't seen anything out of Washington.

8. I think Dean will do well in the West.
I honestly think he can win in Washington, Oregon, and California. that would be a huge boost.

2. Good luck Dr. Dean
At this point, you need a lot more than Washington.

3. I sincerely hope not.
Washingtonians have an amazing talent for picking losers. Look at our Governor and his entire administration, or the King County Executive or Seattle's Mayor. And it isn't just Washington's liberals who don't have their heads screwed on straight. Washington was the only state that supported Pat Robertson when he ran for President.

Dean is one of my favorites, but I fear any candidate who's nominated by Washington State will in fact be picked by the Washington Business Round Table. The propaganda's flowing fast and furious in local newspapers and chatboards and has been for the last few days.

9. Governor Gary Locke endorsed Kerry.
Locke is clearly a mainstream, pro-corporate Democrat. I loved the Boeing "sweetheart" deal he signed for. The kind of Democratic politican the DNC approves of. I am not too sad to see him leave Olympia. I am going to be supporting Phil Talmadge. He is a true progressive and can get us out of the current fiasco we face here in Washington state. He is like Howard Dean. He is pro-people and a straight-shooter.

4. Not in this precinct.
Admittedly small sample, but I called every Dem who voted in the last election in this precinct. I was stumping for Kerry, trying to get the vote out in Sat. morning's caucus. "Do you support Sen. Kerry?" yes: 12 Someone else: 6 "Are you going to caucus for Kerry?" yes: 12 Someone else: yes 3 maybe 3. Of course i got many msg machines but I found lots of support for Sen. Kerry.

6. See, THIS is the kind of thing we don't need...
(unless you're serious about Dean's chances, in which case I apologize).

Dean, Clark, Kucinich and Sharpton people should be working together (or at least not attacking each other). Hell, we're ALL outsiders. I'll support any of the other outsiders over Kerry and Edwards if it comes to that.

We have nothing to gain by fighting amongst ourselves.
