One small bright spot on NPR today
They mentioned bush's speech in Hungary, where he said Hungary is shining example of a country who is willing to fight for liberty and we will always stand by countries such as this. The NPR host mentioned how we did'nt go to Hungary's aid when they broke away from communist Russia in 1956.

1. I'm fed up with being happy with crumbs
These little glimmers of hope are important. But god almighty - we should be living in peace and prosperity. Instead, we have to be happy with these small bright spots of sane thinking. They're getting too far and between. It's enough to make a person crazy. What could have been - if only.

2. Chin up eleny, it's not quite that bad. NPR did interview John Kerry on...
..."All Things Considered" yesterday: <http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5501755>

It was a pretty tough interview, but they let Kerry make some excellent points.

I didn't post it here yesterday, because their are so many NPR haters here who I'm sure would have some nasty comments about how "...NPR just isn't the same as..."

Yes, NPR isn't quite the "All LW, All the time" liberal radio of the 1980's and 1990's anymore, but it's still a pretty good news source, you just have to be more selective now. They have more shows now and some a better than others.

3. NPR like PBS is supposed to be an alternative
But you know that. Instead, it's hoping for some truth these days. And that's become slim pickings. But thanks for the encouragement. I do appreciate it.
