Poll question: Who will Bill Clinton endorse?
Edited on Wed Feb-04-04 04:03 PM by ButterflyBlood
Don't former presidents and VPs get superdelegate status?

1. He will endorse the nominee
or the likely nominee in all but name only following Super-Tuesday. I'd be surprised if he does anything too publicly until the unity dinner in late March.

2. Clinton will wait for the nominee to be determined before voicing
his opinion.

4. I'll go out on a limb.
Yes, he'll endore the nominee. But, here's the other part.

At the convention, his speech will mainly be a reflection back to what he did in office, some references to how Bush has messed it up, and a quick endorsement of the nominee. That'll be it.

After the convention, he won't be actively making campaign speeches for the nominee, which is not unusual for ex-presidents.

I'm still under the belief that Clinton controls the party for his own purposes(thru the DLC), that he'll see to it that the nominees chances are train-wrecked so Bush wins, and it sets up Hillary to run in 2008. That's been the plan all along.
