Snow: There Is Too Much Focus on Kidnapped U.S. Soldiers »

On Friday, two U.S. troops were kidnapped at a checkpoint in Iraq. They remain missing. This morning on Fox News Sunday, White House Press Secretary Tony Snow criticized the press for spending too much time covering their plight. Watch it:

Last week at a White House press briefing, Snow was asked for a reaction to the death toll for U.S. troops in Iraq reaching 2,500. Snow responded: “It’s a number.”

me of his boss...

7. Not so far....
I think it's an indication of how unpopular this job was that it was given to someone completely unqualified for it like Snow.

I'm enjoying the show.

9. Reminds me of an old saying: "The only time he opens his mouth
is to trade feet."

4. Guess he likes to see the good part and not what is really going on
I think they have to take a test for that so Bush will not hear any bad news.

5. See, what did I tell you?
Yesterday I posted a comment that US Kidnapped troops are FAR more damaging to Bush than US trooped KILLED in Iraq. I had a suspicion when I read about this developing story on another news group.

Kidnapped troops is media dynamite. They will glom on to stories like these because there is an element of tension, uncertainty. Americans latch on to stories because there is an element of hope, rescue operations which go in and try to free them.

It's also THE most damaging kind of publicity for Bush and his wars. US troops are seen as helpless, weak, their fate rests with others.

8. This is where the American torture at the prisons come to play
The insurgents have something in mind....video taping them torturning American soldiers to the death.....just like Black Hawk down...when our soldiars dead bodies were dragged through the streets.....that event ended our mission there....so will the the taping of torturing our soldiers....

For every violent action of this administration....there is a violent reaction....and these neocons apparantly don't have the capacity to understand that simple rule.....The administration will say, "No one would have thought the enemy would kidnap and torture our soldiers"!!

Sigh...

15. That's right. We have been BRAGGING about how essential torture
is during war and 'all's fair in war', etc., so now payback is coming for Gitmo and our other torture rooms.

18. ...on the other hand,
...nothing is beyond what the evil herr rumsfeld, et al will do to inflame the american citizenry to scream for 'revenge' and abandon the cry to stop the war and bring our troops home. NOTHING is beyond them!

You really have to think in concentric Roverian-circles any more, just to figure out what's really going on. - and even then, they occasionally tell the truth just to throw us off. Masters of deceit, masters of psyops, masters of manipulation, masters of diversion... True Masters of Evil.

Do not forget that Rumsfeld has his own Super Secret Operatives now - accountable to no one but him.
God only knows how many "insurgents" are actually insurgents......

"these 2,500 soldiers have been call up by the Valkerie to the paradise of Valhalla, as their reward for serving their fatherland well."

11. Pray Without Ceasing...
I pray the Lord rescues the missing soldiers
for themselves and their families, and may
God use their capture to destroy Bush Inc.
and the GOP.

19. This is an opportunity to bash Chimpy hard
They want to say Zarqawi would still be alive if we had listened to Murtha? Fine, then we say those 2 soldiers would be home with their families if we had NOT listened to Chimpus Khan.
