Two great new documentary trailers every DUer must see
I saw both of these before "An Inconvenient Truth" the other day, and they both look like they have the potential to rank among the great documentaries of our time.

The first one is for a film called "Who Killed the Electric Car?", and as the title suggests it is about how the auto industry destroyed electric cars in order to sell more gas guzzlers. Here is the link to the trailer. http://searcht.netscape.com/ns/boomframe.jsp?query=who+killed+the+electric+car&page=1&offset=0&result_url=redir%3Fsrc%3Dwebsearch%26requestId%3Da6d425497b1031db%26clickedItemRank%3D1%26userQuery%3Dwho%2Bkilled%2Bthe%2Belectric%2Bcar%26clickedItemURN%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.sonyclassics.com%252Fwhokilledtheelectriccar%252F%26invocationType%3D-%26fromPage%3DNSCPTop%26amp%3BampTest%3D1&remove_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sonyclassics.com%2Fwhokilledtheelectriccar%2F

The second trailer is for a film called "The US vs. John Lennon" which is about John Lennon's opposition to the Vietnam War and how the government attempted to silence him. By the trailer it appears the film will tie John Lennon's activism against Vietnam with what is going on right now in Iraq, it even takes a very sharp jab at George Bush. Here is the link http://searcht.netscape.com/ns/boomframe.jsp?query=the+us+vs+john+lennon&page=1&offset=0&result_url=redir%3Fsrc%3Dwebsearch%26requestId%3D3163046f47db2958%26clickedItemRank%3D3%26userQuery%3Dthe%2Bus%2Bvs%2Bjohn%2Blennon%26clickedItemURN%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fmovies.yahoo.com%252Fmovie%252F1809233930%252Finfo%26invocationType%3D-%26fromPage%3DNSCPToolbarNS%26amp%3BampTest%3D1&remove_url=http%3A%2F%2Fmovies.yahoo.com%2Fmovie%2F1809233930%2Finfo

1. The auto industry has killed more than just the electric car
they have killed public transportation, American jobs and more.

The movie sounds good.

2. You are absolutely right...
The auto industry is one of the most irresponsible industries out there. They are probably even worse than the oil industry, because the oil industry can only rape the Earth as fast as people can use the oil, and if the auto industry would build more fuel efficient vehicles and allow better public transportation the oil industry would not have nearly as much power.

4. It is sad that our corporate owned media refuses to report on this....
It seems pretty obvious that all those auto industry commercials have something to do with their reluctance to report such a major story.

5. Not so surprising really
It makes the USA auto corporations look stupid for being so short sighted. Now they're stuck with Japanese competition and maybe China yet to come - that would shaft them completely.

6. I know it is kind of lame to kick my own post, but I think many people...
