Where does Joe live?

We've been wondering here in Connecticut. Since he sold his house in New Haven a couple of months ago, I have not seen him and haven't heard where he has landed. He said when he put his New Haven house on the market that he and Hadassah were "downsizing." But nobody seems to know where he downsized to. I asked at Lamont HQ when I went there today but they were wondering the same thing.

Don't you have to be domiciled in the district/state you live in to run for Congress?

Anybody know where he really lives (apart from Washington, D.C.)?

He used to live in my neighborhood, not close, about 4 blocks away. But I did see him and Hadassah walking to shull on Saturdays and I did see him out running.

I truly think he is in D.C. most of the time, if not all of the time, now. I didn't expect a press release on his new address but I thought we'd find out, especially since he needs to live within walking distance of his shull on sabbath. I do know he has an Orthodox synagogue in the D.C. area, so maybe he is living there.

My question, tho, is whether he needs to have a domicile in his home state to run for office!!!

I could only find the address for the place he owns in New Jersey

which must be his address for when he is in Congress.

Joe is indeed the enigma these days. Nobody knows whether he will still choose to be a Dem, and now--nobody even knows where he lives! :wow:

at least he couldn't in Florida. I assume it's the case in CT that you have to vote in the precinct in which you reside.

I'm sure that Joe is smart enough to have rented a hotel room, at the least, and changed his voter registration to that. But if not, it would make a fun story, wouldn't it?

Of course, that assumes the voter rolls obtained by the campaign are up to date.

I doubt if Joe would go there, but I could be wrong. Stamford has a strong Jewish community.
