If Kerry is the nominee The World will End!
Not really, but it makes about as much sense as the theories all the other anti-kerry catastrophists that are roaming around.

1. It's the end of the world as we know it...
It's the end of the world as we know it,
It's the end of the world as we know it,
And I feel fine... </r-e-m>

Seriously, why all the Kerry-bashing? He's ahead of Bush* in the polls, for Pete's sake. Let's keep our eyes on the prize!

2. No, it won't.
And he seems to get along with Congress which means, to me, that he won't disturb any of their nasty little habits.

And the media seems pretty certain he won't mess with their monopoly.

Let me hear his plan to compensate American workers for outsourcing, to provide decent jobs, to make the monster gobbling corporations give back to the nation they are leeching off.

10. his plans for the things you mention
are on his website. He also has mentioned these things in the town hall meetings broadcast on c-span. One of the things he's talked about is eliminating any tax loopholes or economic advantages the Federal Government might provide to companies that are outsourcing or otherwise hurting American workers with offshore banking, tax havens, etc.

Kerry opposed the recent FCC attempt to narrow media ownership.

You don't provide a context for the nasty habits of Congress, so I don't understand what you're getting at.

6. While he supports free trade, I think the guy does care about
environmental aspects of it and will work on international cooperation on that aspect. I also think Kerry underestands the roots of Latin America's long standing problems and poverty better than any of the other candidates.

Post NAFTA Mexico has problems but so did PRE NAFTA Mexico. Latin America is a mess after 12 years of Reagan/Bush and Clinton's pre-occupation with the Mid East crisis.

I know there are HUGE problems with NAFTA and GATT and that an international will to stem pollution and foster labor rights is necessary.

I attended the first World Forum in Brazil back in the early 90's. On one side of the spectrum, you have unfettered trade and corporate control...on the other side you have fear mongering as well and the sickening thought that if the world industrializes at the rate and in the manner that we did the planet cannot sustain itself. The problem with THAT view is that it makes other cultures dependent on our charity as a nation to feed and employ their people.

I'm not sure what the sustainable solution is...but I believe it IS possible without being totally against the progress of underdeveloped nations.

8. true
funny, i posted something like "the world will end" in another thread exactly while you posted this.. :)

seriously: if kerry is the nominee, the following 4 more years of bush could mark the point of no return in the suicide of humankind. more wars, much more hate, much more lies, much more exploitation, and so on - not to mention earth warming and destruction of nature ..

:scared:

(pleasy excuse my english, i'm european)
