The ONLY issue Repubs care about right now is RETAINING POWER.
Nothing else will make a whit of difference to them until they are assured of keeping total control.

So if YOU were in this situation, what would you do? You would say ANYTHING, and you would DO ANYTHING. To hell with repercussions. Deal with them after you're in control again.

So I think we can expect an unprecedented series of unbelievable lies and dishonest, damaging actions coming from the right in the next few months.

Fun to watch.
Unfun to live with.

2. That's Why I Believe November Is An Impossibility
I'll get stuff thrown at me for saying it, but following the trend, I don't see Any way that they will allow power to be taken from them, even partially, in November.

They might "let" the Dems pick up a few seats, but not enough to swing the balance or make a big difference. They have too much at stake, and can't allow investigations, subpoena power, or control of congress be in Democratic hands for the remaining 2 years of King george's monarchy.

7. I'm going to throw "agreement"
your way.

Until something is done with the voting machines and until there is a focus by the media on election tampering/fraud in States like Ohio and Florida, nothing will change.

I believe it was evident our democracy was gone with the election of 2004 and the total and complete compliance of the corporate media in covering it up.

3. Agreed, and to put it another way
The only thing that bush cares about is keeping dems from getting subpoena power. Ergo, they must retain power because the last thing they need is for the american people to discover the truth via investigations. bush does not care about gay marriage or flag burning or how many of our kids get killed in iraq. He just doesn't want to be investigated. An extremely pathetic way to live one's life.

5. Absolutely. Everything they do and say is to save their butts.
They don't care about this country or any of us and they'll lie, cheat and steal to stay right where they are. I agree - the next few months are gonna be filled with all kinds of bullshit.

6. Regrettably, I have to agree. They've distorted the system so badly
they have literally no choice but to keep going. Things have gone WAY to far now to be fixed anyway, it seems to me.
