Title: Arresting Patients Wastes Resources

Urge Congress to Pass the Medical Marijuana Amendment
The bipartisan Hinchey-Rohrabacher medical marijuana amendment would prohibit the U.S. Department of Justice -- which includes the DEA -- from spending taxpayer money to arrest or prosecute medical marijuana patients in the 11 states where medical marijuana is legal.

Dear (recipient name), Customizing the Message is required

I urge you to support the Hinchey-Rohrabacher medical marijuana amendment when it comes to the floor during consideration of the Science-State-Justice-Commerce Appropriations bill this July. This amendment would prohibit the Justice Department from raiding, arresting, and prosecuting patients who use medical marijuana in compliance with state law.

To further burden seriously ill people – those suffering from debilitating diseases such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, or multiple sclerosis -- with arrest, or even the fear of arrest, is unconscionable. In the aftermath of terrorist attacks against our nation, our limited law enforcement resources should not be squandered harassing our nation’s most vulnerable citizens.

The real threat to our nation comes from those who are committed to violence against Americans. Stopping terrorists should be the priority of law enforcement. Please take this opportunity to insist that the Justice Department focus its resources on actions that will truly protect us. Your vote for the Hinchey-Rohrabacher amendment will help make Americans safer. Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,
Your name

2. Never Happen
With the current makeup of Congress? If you think there's a chance, I've got a bridge to sell you.

And even if.....IF IF IF!!!!! there was the slightest chance of this passing. The SLIGHTEST CHANCE. Do you think King george will sign it into law?

Thanks for the effort, but you're better served trying to get the Dems in power. Little chance of anything resembling a democracy until that happens. Marijuana? It could be the CURE for cancer, and it will never be approved while They are in power.

I am so depressed about this country's future. So Depressed.
