Roy Moore running for President?
As reported in the Wall Street Journal, Roy Moore (the Alabama Supreme Court judge who initiated the 10 Commandments monument battle) said he would not rule out running for President on a third party ticket. The only think wrong with my source is that it was a World Net Daily article re-posted on democrats.com. If you want to read it, go to that site and scroll down to the article about how Bush lost 10% of the vote in yesterday's Repub. primary.

Clearly a run by Moore would be great for the Democratic candidate, forcing Bush to concentrate more money in the South and to alter his message to a highly conservative crowd, making it impossible to pass himself off as a moderate.

Has anyone else heard more about this? Let's hope he runs!

1. Moore would create the split between Religious Right and Normal Right
That would be a good thing. It would also help identify the zealots.

5. There's a valid point to it.
In some ways, the Bush presidency is consolidating progressive cultural gains. I know many will disagree, but since 2000, gay people are making big gains for instance. The neo-cons who control Bush are not really interested in a traditionally conservative agenda--they're actually old "liberals" who dream of empire.
