ADD....a valuable insight....
Any Damn Democrat!

Over at dKos, DemFromCT offers up an analysis with regards to what is happening among Dem voters after nine primaries.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/2/4/141033/2289

People are angry! And they are exercising that anger by voting for a candidate they think can beat Bush! One just needs to look at the poll numbers....

But let's hope we don't suffer buyers remorse...right now the voters are looking for a candidate who is going to carry the fight to Bush and win in Nov.!

If the spine transplant conducted by the good Doctor and the Congressman from Ohio is rejected by the Dem nominee with a run toward the center and mediocrity, we will all be in trouble!! This is the concern from many here about the influence the DLC will have on the election!

This election is about Bush...and destroying the popular myth surrounding him is a necessary step to removing him from office....let's hope that the full frontal assault started in this Dem primary continues right into the Oval Office next January!

1. any nominee is going to jump to the center
once they get the nomination. That's not going to change this year no matter who the nominee is.

2. Yep.
Dean would have, too, had he received the nomination.

3. granted...but
will it be wishy washy or bold and in your face?

The Independents are already coming over to us....not because we are being timid, but because we are being bold!!! All the polls show this!

Liberal Oasis has an interesting write up about how we are attracting moderate voters to us, not by being more like the repugs, but by being Dems....http://www.liberaloasis.com/

If we become timid, we will lose! Many people here have the fear that this is exactly what will happen with Kerry, and Edwards nice guy tactic will also fall down....

Voters are voting for Kerry because he is winning. Anyone here who suggest that the voting public (outside Iowa and NH) has the same level of awareness of policy and issues about all the candidates that we at DU do is fooling themselves....

I sincerely hope that Kerry is the real deal...I have no other options at this point.....

4. I'm with you on this one..
I'm one of those former independents, myself, and becoming more and more so-called "leftist" as time passes. I support Kucinich because he's telling the truth and not pulling punches, and because he has such a great history of doing this. I don't really get the same feeling from the other candidates, although I did have an eye on Kerry early on. I think the democrats have compromised enough
