In the wake of Coulters comments
Is there anyone making a case as to why left wing radical opinion is not given air time?

How about Zinn, Chomsky and West? Since there seems to be this argument of balance (that the left has people just as bad) this would be a good time to prove them wrong. I can't imagine this kind of rhetoric ever spewed out of their mouths.

What are they going to try and counter with? Ward Churchill? A college proffesor who made a comment that was based on what was analyzed in the Milgram experiments. At least he was one of the few that actually questioned why the events on 9/11 ocurred.

2. I left that as an unspken truth
Didnt want to re invent the wheel.

I'd say that they are too chickenshit to go head to head with real analysis. Could you imagine Coulter getting on the air to debate Howard Zinn? Not that I think he would ever dream to waste his time or that these right wing blow hards would dare take him on.

That man is everything that they claim to uphold. Then again, these pricks are complaining that they can't go ugly on these people and are forced to counter their arguments. I think Ann Coulter would have a hard time having here right wing defenders cover for her after calling Mr Zinn "The Warlock of MA" to his face.

3. That is a great strategy. 'Equal Time' If Ann can spew someone over
on our side needs to be able to spew back and not just the usual
hem haw apologists.

6. Lowest common denominator
Chomsky, like him or not, makes complex points often using academic terms. Most people aren't academics. Coulter ranting on about how liberals are in league with teh UN to sacrifice all white babies to bin Laden makes for much more sensational copy than Chomsky taking fifty closely-argued pages to make a single point.

In short: The general public is not very bright. They can understand Coulter, they can't follow Chomsky.

7. They are only as "bright" as the material presented
Sounds silly but Im not kidding about that. If you present the public with 6th grade level writing they won't aspire to anything higher. I also think that people like West, Churchill, Zinn and Chomsly make it harder for these so called journalists to dissemenate their own tripe. I think guys like EV Debs were a little too deep for these folks. Can you imagine Dobbs, Hannity, Mathews, Carlson and Oreilly having to sit down with these guys? It's sad enough for them that Michael Moore makes them look foolish at every opportunity.

I think the public can handle Chomsky. I think its much more difficult to boil his materiel down to a talking point. I think the best way to fix this media mess is to not only write them but to confront them with those they slander.

9. Hey, if they can understand it, great
I'd love to be wrong about my low opinion of the general public.
