Until the past few years, I never thought I'd actually run for political office. But when I look at the course this administration is steering for my country, I can't just sit by and watch. I MUST stand up and act.

I'm a husband, a father, and a family counselor in practice with my wife, Kate. I'm a decorated U.S. Army Ranger who served in the 101st Airborne, and I’m a veteran of the Vietnam War where I fought and led soldiers in combat through two tours of duty.

And like every man and woman who has worn a uniform in the name of this country I cling to the hope that my fallen brothers and sisters died not in vain , but for three words: “We The People.”

And while I point the finger at George Bush, Karl Rove, and Zach Wamp, the truth is we must all share the responsibility... you, me, the person sitting next to you... because we have not stood up for change. We have not let our anger and our frustrations be known.

We have not stood and said “we the people” will not be bullied by an administration who thinks we are too tired, too taxed, and too stupid to understand what is happening to the United States of America.</snip>
