Who controlls the past controls the future.......
Something that Orwell said........

There is something that most people are missing about Americas past the seems to be missing in the present. I'm talkin bout the rabble the rousers and those that shook the foundations of this country. There is something about the idea of institutional change through voting that just seems futile. Although its important there is much more to be learned about the radicals in our past that is missing in the present.

When I hear people talk about politics I often hear how they pine for great presidents like FDR, Kennedy, Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson (I gag when I hear that name) and Abraham Lincoln. I think this line of thinking is extremely dangerous as it puts all the credit on statesmen. The value of active citizenship is lost.

Voting is a small step but is not a cure all.
