Nation under siege
No, not from terrists. Or rising oil prices. Or soaring healthcare costs. Or a 2000-pound-legpressing Pat Robertson.

No, we are in grave danger from "activist judges." Gay-loving, 'Merican flag-burning liberal activist judges.

It was depressing in the extreme to hear the trying to pretend, at this moment in American history, that was a critical priority.

If there's anything the country should have learned over the past five years, it is that Mr. Bush and his supporters have no problem with judicial decisions, no matter how cutting edge, that endorse their political positions... They trot out the "activist judge" threat only when they're worried about getting out their base on Election Day.

Fun fact: gay vp daughter Mary Cheney today spoke out openly against her party's stand on banning gay marria... what? She hasn't? Gosh.

Fun fact II: In the upcoming '06 campaign, "a significant element of the GOP strategy will be based upon mobilizing the 'stupid' vote."

What you can do: call your senator and congressman and ask if they've ever had oral sex.
