Ohio's most influential blogger a British conservative/libertarian 'Dem'?
(And another influential "Democratic" blogger is a convicted importuner, and both constantly slam Sherrod Brown, the Democratic Senate candidate?

Wow.Ohio really does need help.)

Blogs reshape politics, news reports

But sometimes embarrassing mistakes flow from authors' desire to say it first

..."You heard it here first," buckeyestateblog.com declared in the wee hours one March night. "Blackwell to drop out."

Six weeks later, Ken Blackwell crushed Jim Petro in the GOP gubernatorial primary...

Among the most prolific Ohio bloggers is buckeyestateblog's Russell Hughlock, a British subject and engineer who lives in Newark. More than just a commentator, he covers rallies and grass-roots meetings on his own time and dime.

Hughlock, a former campaign consultant for the British Conservative Party and a founding member of the Licking County Pro Active Citizens, describes his political leanings as "economically conservative, socially progressive/libertarian."...

...Net worth: Ohio's most influential political blogger, aggressively attacking all Republicans and some Democrats -- particularly U.S. Rep. Sherrod Brown -- who don't measure up to his progressive standards (Sherrod Brown doesn't live up to a British conservative/libertarian's progressive standards?)...

Tim Russo

...trying to rebuild credibility lost when he was convicted of importuning in an Internet sex sting...

1. Russo blaming Sherrod Brown's wife for his problems
Sherrod Brown's wife, Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Connie Schultz, caught lots of vitriol from both Russo and Pounder (the libertarian at BuckeyeStateBlog) throughout Sherrod's primary campaign.

I always thought they felt Connie was very dangerous when it came to helping Dems win because she's such an asset on the campaign trail, and (anyone who reads these blogs knows they're only interested in hurting Dems chances of getting elected).

Apparently Pounder and Russo were really angry at Connie because they were afraid she would get the Plain Dealer to write about Russo's criminal record as a convicted pedophile.

Sad that these two have even tainted the Ohio forum here at DU, causing some of the loyal Dems from NE Ohio to be banned from the forum for trying to shed light on these two.

3. Yeah, but this one was a Dem
Better that Dems bring it up before the GOP (or the Plain Dealer in this case) does it for us.

The guy has done a lot of harm, criticizing Dems because he feared they were going to expose him.
