Bumiller: Most WH reporters have 'towel-snapping' relationship with Bush

Elizabeth Bumiller is leaving her assignment as WH correspondent for the NY Times and wrote a sort of wrap-up of what it's like to have covered the WH the last five years. In it she adds this gem:

"most regular White House reporters have a friendly, towel-snapping relationship with Mr. Bush"

How unfortunate that the press doesn't have the same friendly feelings toward the country, the Constitution, and the truth.

After 1 year bring in a new guy/gal. An exception could be made for correspondents who truly demonstrate having a set of balls, such as Helen Thomas.

though it isn't carved in stone. Most media outlets rotate people in and out of the WH beat.
