Help Bowen get an ad on Spanish radio before Tuesday!

A new poll shows Debra Bowen trailing in the all-important Secretary of State's race in CA! She's all that stands between us and Diebold, folks. Now OVC is trying to raise money for a Spanish radio ad tomorrow to help Bowen win. Please help if you possibly can, kick and nominate this thread.

If California turns red, we're all toast!

Dear Friends of Open Voting:

The Democratic Primary race for California Secretary of State this Tuesday is important for the future of democracy. We know that as of now, most voters still haven't thought much about it. Debra Bowen will win or lose depending on what we do in the next three days.

We are reaching voters TODAY, tomorrow, and the next day via email, phone calls, knocking on doors, television, newspapers, on the streets, and every other way we can imagine. Radio ads could be decisive. I urge you to read the message copied below and contribute as much money as you can to support radio ads for Bowen. Can you do that now so we can buy the advertising time for Monday and Tuesday?

1. Very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, VERY, VERY IMPORTANT!

DEBRA BOWEN is strong, strong advocate of open government, has been aggressively monitoring Schwarz apppointee Bruce McPherson's illegal activities on Diebold's behalf, and is very knowledgeable and very savvy about electronic voting and voter purge issues. Her opponent in the Dem primary, Deborah Ortiz, doesn't have a clue. She knows nothing about electronic voting and has made frighteningly ignorant statements about it. She may win this only because she has an Hispanic name. That would be disastrous for Hispanics and for all of us.

Support this ad! And vote for DEBRA BOWEN on Tuesday!
