Poll question: Rate by importance
Both these issues are beyond urgent. I know people can multitask. But if serious, heavy lifting effort is to be expended, where is it better applied?

2. but we need the one before we can hope
for much progress on many other issues. We can work on everything to various degrees of course.

3. Husb2Sparkly, I appreciate very much the way you framed this question.

Top-drawer frame for two big issues. Bravo, that.

I picked #2, but not only because I feel legal remedies are urgently required. My vote for election reform has more to do with my vision of using the 007 novels/films as models for justice for Republicans.

I think it's Dr. No, isn't it? who has the pool of sharks?

Hungry, big, really big and really hungry man-eating white sharks snapping and circling in the pool water... you know that scene.

I'm seeing certain Republican officials, say, certain Republican officials who might have been presiding officers in their respective states over the 2000 and 2004 elections... I see these officials PERHAPS falling victim to those sharks' snapping appetites.

ATTN: MODS. These are fictional sharks. Dr. No is a fictional character with a fictional shark pool. No actual Republicans are harmed as a result of this post.

The idea has enormous appeal. It offers swift closure to lingering doubts of election fraud as well as a substantial savings in red tape and paperwork in the courts.

And it might be the one thing that actually freaks Nancy Grace out.

4. Fix the fucking media.
No other problem can even be addressed until we have a reasonably independent media. Take a sledgehammer to the conglomerates.

7. Fix the entire elections system!
Of course we need to fix the cheating first, but then we need to get the corporate money out of the system along with restoring the equal time requirement for the media.

8. Saving lives is more important in a long list of pressing issues
While fixing our election system is paramount, it takes a back seat to ending the carnage in Iraq and Afghanistan. We must withdraw all US troops at once!
