With a Heavy Heart, I turn from Dean, to Clark.
This is not an easy decision. I am 18 and I have supported Dean from the very beginning. I have given him over $100, which is unprecidented in my family and out of all of my friends. I have dedicated time and effort into trying to get people to also find the Dean that I liked so much. But I think it is time for me to withdraw my support for Gov Dean.

I hereby proclaim my support for General Clark. I like the guy, and gosh darnit, I never could come up with a good argument against him. :) I think at this point I am making a choice as to whether Kerry gets the nomination or not. I generally dislike the guy, and personally think Clark is the best man to beat Bush. I can't support Dean anymore because I'm too afriad Kerry is going to win the nomination. Clark has some mommentum out of Ok, and I think that could be the start of it.

I am happy to join the Clark camp. And for the first time I think I will give the General 20 bucks. Go ClarK!

16. Remember these times, honey. Eighteen and caring about the country.
That is wonderful. Never forget to vote. Ever. See what
happens when people aren't vigilant? Dean is a good man
and I understand your sorrow. I hate to watch him struggle
but I welcome you into Clark Land. That is the good thing
this year. We have a lot of good men running.

6. Welcome to the Team that will send Bush nack to Texas.
I'm alsoa former Dean supporter, and the decision is not easy. Speaking for myself, I'm more sure of my decision every time I hear Wes speak--and every time I hear Tweety, Wolfie or Judy bash him.

9. Welcome.
Your announcement makes me happy and sad simultaneously.

Dean and Clark are the two best candidates with the best chance to bring about real change in Washington.

I admire Dean, sympathize greatly with his demonization by the press.

Get ready for a bumpy ride!

15. I'm sorry your heart is heavy cavebat2000. Dean was and is a huge
force in this election.

But given your decision, I feel that you chose a great man, a
great candidate, and a fellow outsider. As Wes likes to say,
he's not part of the problem, he's part of the solution.

Welcome.

19. It just sucks that it's come down to this!
If the situation was reversed Dean would have my support right now. I cannot stand the thought of Kerry being our nominee.

It sickens me that we may have a nominee that voted for the IWR, Patriot Act, No Child Left Behind. He has never showed the courage to speak out against Bush like Dean & Clark have!

The most dedicated supporters are now having to make really tough choices just to stop Kerry and it just sucks!

25. A great choice friend.
I'm assuming this is the first of many broken hearts in the ways of campaigning for you.

If I could count all the "losers" that I have supported.....

Clark is certainly a better choice than Kerry.

I've served under his command in USAEUR and he is a great man and have heard nothing "bad" about him...ever.

Although, our ship is taking on a lot of water, I will go down in this ship with the Captain.

But, that's just the way it is for me.

There's no shame in taking the life preserver...live to fight another day soldier!

26. As a Clark supporter
may I say a few things;
If not for Dean where would Kerry and Edwards be? They safely waited for Dean to set the standard and stole his thunder. They've cunningly stepped on everyone to get where they are. I believe in Karma. Dean and Clark are both honest, bold men. Leaders! Since you've decided to switch, welcome aboard and you've chosen the best candidate to switch to.

28. Dean gave a voice to the Dems
Without Howard Dean, the Dems would still be wandering around in the wilderness. People were mad, & the guys in Washington just didn't get it.

I support Wes Clark because he is also an outsider, & he has guts to tell the truth, just like Dr.Dean.

But in the end, the election process does not like outsiders or truth tellers.

29. Too soon.
Stand by your early conviction. In this day and age, things can change quickly, even for the wrong reasons. Or for the right ones.

Clark is deserved, but give your initial guy a chance. Things can change in the blink of an eye. Nice thing that you aren't jumping on the front-running bandwagon, though. Clark is one hell of a candidate. As are the rest.

30. A big hug
we're glad to have you.

I hated what Kerry, Lieberman and Gephardt did to your guy in Iowa and have always felt that Dean was solely responsible for the new found fire in the insiders' bellies. We all owe him a huge debt of gratitude and surely without him, Kerry would never be where he is tonight.

I hate the thought of a Kerry nomination since I can't look at or listen to Kerry without thinking Bush enabler (and that's being euphemistic).

31. Welcome, to the Clarkistas
Hi Cavebat.

I know that is a tough decision ... in my decidedly biased view, a wise one. Let assure you: You get to change your mind yet again, if that is where brain and heart lead you.

Dean did so much to define the issues and tone of this race. A brilliant experiment in grassroots democracy. If nothing else, Dean and Clark both deserve high praise for that. Anyway, Dean was my second choice ... so I'm glad Clark was your second choice.

Yeah ... we're in for a rough ride. And we're in a rougher one after the convention ... no matter who winds up winning the nomination. I'm no Kerry fan, but Bush has got to go. "Somewhere in Texas, a village is missing its idiot ..."

It must have been a difficult decision.

It's all so funny. A couple weeks back, Dean was my last choice, and I didn't like him. But after MTP and seeing how he's reacted to the last couple of weeks, I've finally seen what his supporters see in him. And I agree.
