See if you think this tact will help for this fall
Something poppped into my head while reading that * is going to start another war to try to salvage Nov 7. It would require Dems to be on the same page though - probably too much to hope for.

We start campaigning on big domestic ideas. For example, "no child uninsured". Then every time a talking head or GOP candidate starts whining about how much it would cost, we yell, and this is the key part,

Stop telling me what Americans can't accomplish. Why are republicans always talking about our limitations? Let's talk about what we can do instead of what we can't.

Feel free to amend or append.

1. Has a Nice Populist tone ...
I like it but for some reason our dems seem to be running from any notion of populism

3. The DLC sure is, and always has, and that's why they
have lost all 3 branches of government. They are allergic to people who have jobs instead of careers.

Dean is populist and is creating a great populist movement with his 50 states campaign.

He can't do it alone, though. We need to help.

2. You are totally onto something.
and while we're at it, we may as well think big:

how about "No AMERICAN Uninsured"

don't tell me we can't do it - hehe, I'm already getting good at this.

4. The apparatus
is already in place it's called Medicare. The Medicare program would be easy to adopt for all americans, just change the name to US-Care and start covering all americans.

Peace!

5. Populism is anathema to the corporate agenda, therefore
you're not going to hear it from our side either.
