Nice message from John Edwards, RE: CIA leak investigation

Dear xxx,

If you've been worried about the possibility of President Bush being let off the hook in the CIA leak investigation, let me tell you about the overwhelming response we've had to our demand for full accountability in this scandal.

More than 30,000 people from across the country have joined me in demanding that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales expand the Special Prosecutor's mandate to include whether the President himself broke the law when he authorized the disclosure of classified information in order to discredit Iraq war critics.

Our online community has spoken. The letter and signatures have been delivered to Mr. Gonzales. Now it's up to him to do the right thing and broaden the investigation to include the President's behavior.

No one is above the law. And no one should be allowed to dodge responsibility the way President Bush has. Let's hope the system works and we get to the bottom of this shameful affair.
